We've been there 3 times this year and haven't seen any other nudist on the beach at all but a lot of other people doing various beach activities. Does everybody just hide in the dunes or do we just pick quiet days? |

The beach is always busy every time I’ve been, I tend to ride there from Dolgellau usually as the traffic into Barmouth etc is painful.
I didn’t realise just how vast the dunes area actually was, walked up to the crest last time being nosey and it goes back a fair bit.
Sunday looks good this weekend though 😎 |

Presume so, down the boardwalk and turn right. Walk until the sign, although it wasn't there last time. Probably due to going on a weekday and although pleasant weather, not perfect |

First-timers to Morfa.
We're camping at a small adults-only site near St Asaph and planning a drive out on Saturday or Sunday. However, we have no idea where to park or where couples typically sunbathe.
We'd feel more comfortable with other couples nearby and would like to set up on the beach for the day without being surrounded by many single men, as the beach looks beautiful but vast.
Notice a few mentions of Denis's Field, but we can't find a camping site for it on Google.
Any advice would be appreciated. |

We're staying on Dennis's field this week, it's boiling hot at the moment! we ventured onto the beach yesterday evening and plenty of naturists still about, we're topping our allover tan up behind the windbreak!
Its our first visit here only planned on staying a
couple of days but think we'll extend to the weekend, its basic but so relaxing and everyone is pleasant and friendly. |

the best place to park is at the far end of the Dyffryn Seaside Estate (£4/day with some of that going to Air Ambulance). Usually lots of space and it cuts of some of the long walk to the nudist section of the beach. We were there again yesterday - the character and dynamics of the beach has sadly changed over the last couple of years |

First time coming on Saturday. Never sunbathed nude before, so kinda nervous. Would be nice to see others. Come and say hi!
I'll be the one with a very distinctive chest tattoo.
Not really looking to play, just more of a relaxation day.
Sunbathe day! |

To the newbie naturists: everyone is naked, there’s loads of space, and nobody takes any notice of you, in my experience.
What I haven’t established though is how swingers make contact. If you venture into the dunes, the gay guys try to make eye contact while masturbating, that’s a clear enough signal. But approaching a solo woman or couple on the beach would feel wrong to me. How do you know who to talk to? Should one be looking for flamingoes??? |

For us, it’s simply saying hello, then going with with the flow, after saying hello, comment on the most obvious I.e. it’s quiet today, not many people here? Or nice to see that it’s busy today.
Maybe followed it my name is***** by the way? If by now we like the look of you we would contribute to keep the conversation going…
We may ask if you are here as a single or couple? Invariably if will be the guy of the couple who will keep things moving if he thinks you may be a candidate for a play… we understand mainly if not 100% of the time if a guy speaks to us he wants to have sex with us…
For us some of our questions or stories we may tell you, will be trying to find out are you into couples or just looking to play with the wife?
May times because guys will come down off the dunes, when asked Weather directly or through a story about his preference, I’m only into women, then we bring the conversation to an end…
Because as a couple, we are also very much on the lookout for any potential Fun and if guys go off into the dunes and then claim is only into women is not going to be no fun… for us as a couple, hope this helps…

"Absolutely no need to be nervous on a nude beach. It must be the least judgemental environment I've ever been in. "
Yes I would agree, that’s our experience too… x |

"None it is a family campsite"
Thanks. I understand that but it's conveniently located to get to the beach and I believe an area of the field allows naturism behind screens. But if it's full with families then I guess just convenient for the beach. Either way just wondering if there is space for another vehicle. I presume some will go home on Monday. |

"Hi.. we’ll be in north wales next Tues, Wed, Thurs, and are planning to visit.. feel free to let us know if/when you’re going to be there..
It’ll be our first visit.. any tips welcome.!"
Judging by the weather, the tip may be to bring waterproofs, sadly .
Being serious though, hopefully there’ll be some windows of better weather. Morfa Dyffryn in September can be really special.
The only tip really would be that there is a clear “alleyway” in the dunes in the naturist area. It’s traditionally been known as “swingers’ alley”, though not as many people have congregated there the last couple of times I’ve been. Maybe it’s me .
The alley is a few hundred yards into the naturist part of the beach, if you’re coming from the south. I think I might have read the sign identifying the start of the nudist area has gone, though.
Oh, also - much as Morfa is an amazing beach, don’t forget that the whole area is beautiful. The Mawddach Estuary, to the south, is simply stunning.
I’m hoping to be in North Wales Tuesday to Friday. Always lovely to chat to fellow Fabbers like yourselves on the beach, or around and about. |

We were at Morfa about 6 weeks ago. We love it there.
It's one of the few beaches that have an official nudist designation. (Yes, we know you can be nude anywhere so long as you're not out to distress, alarm etc etc)
On a personal level, beaches lose their local council support because of things like 'swingers alley'. Would prefer it to be nudist and continue than lose the local support. But that's just how we feel. |

I take your point. I’m a naturist and always stick to the beach, so it’s good for thought. |

Swingers’ alley is about 100 metres from the start of the nude section of the beach if you’re walking up from Dennis’s field. Unless you park yourself on the beach right there, you can have a normal blissfully chilled naturist experience on the beach. If you do, you will know stuff is going on but it’s out of sight and no more than you get on unofficial nude beaches in Wales, so unlikely to get the place shut down. A walk up the alley or along the top of the dunes can be an eye opener, but surely nobody here is a prude? |

Not a prude!
That's fine but the great thing about this beach is that you can be nude on the beach and walk to the sea; not stuck on the dunes get dressed/undressed to go to the beach; which happens elsewhere.
Losing the support of the council; it just makes life more difficult.
It's just nice to not to have worry about "offending" anyone and have a designated beach. But each to their own.
Once it's gone it's gone. |

Hoping we'll get that 'surprise' lovely weather for September on one of the up and coming weekends.
Eager to visit the beach and enjoy some clothes free vitamin D absorption (and a splash about in the sea) |

Just something I’ve been thinking about.
I mentioned the alley in this thread. I’ve been going to Morfa for 11 years and sometimes sit in the alley.
I always think of it as a social spot (well, the alley itself) - a place where naturists who happen to be swingers gravitate towards.
I think that’s why I’ve always felt ok to mention it.
I know stuff does go on in the dunes, though. I tend to think of that as separate to the alley itself (admittedly, the boundary is hazy).
I can quite see that any reference to swinging in the context of Morfa may attract the attention of the authorities though. Will bear in mind .

We used to love going there but unfortunately there's to many of the wrong kind going there now wanking in clear view of everyone on top of the dunes whilst looking down even spotted a few taking photos of females and couples on the beach from the top of the dunes without there knowledge or consent it these kind of people that are going to spoil it unfortunately they need to remember it a nudist beach not a swingers club and I agree some post that do get posted on the morfa chat will definitely attract the wrong sort there |

Looking at making my first visit this Saturday. Weather is crap at this precise moment but looks to be pleasant on Saturday (my weather app says gonna be sunny intervals and up to 22c)
Anyone else likely to be there too?
Be nice to meet other fabber/s into naturism and say hello |

I’m popping down for a few hours today (Friday).
It’s looking a fairly good day.
It would be lovely to say hello, if anyone happens to be there - I just like chatting to folks, really (ok, waffling at them!).
I’ll be the idiot snoring in the light blue beach tent .

I’ve got an event on at Llyn brenig in the day but plan on heading over to catch a bit of sun and sunset to cap the day off.
I’ll apologise in advance if you see me walking up the beach with muddy legs initially…a very welcome cold dip will see to that. |

That’s potentially good news. I’ve been have a long weekend up there, and it’d be great if the weather holds.
Morfa Dyffryn and the area is lovely in autumn too . |
