I think it depends on the person and the circumstances.

In some situations there is no second chance. At other times, you may find flexibility is needed. It took 5 attempts for a friend and I to get our first meet, as life seemed to put obstacles in the way. It was worth the wait though.

Personally I follow the old baseball adage 3 strikes and youre out..

Occasionally you do know someone is genuine so they may get more than 3 strikes
