Let’s all have a little fun and test our poetic naughtiness while challenging our linguistic skills with Japanese poetry Haiku’s!
Rules are simple:
*3 lines only.
*First line- 5 syllables
*Second line- 7 syllables
*Third line- 5 syllables
*no stealing from the internet
*It doesn’t have to rhyme, but if it does well done because that’s near impossible in a Haiku!
*You’re not allowed to negatively criticise anyone’s Haiku. It’s all a bit of fun after all! Lessons are best left for the class room or the bedroom!
Sounds easy but some words have more syllables than you might think. Let the fun begin!
I will begin.
Heartbeat felt within
As weighted on her I lie
Hair in fingers yoked
