All I’ll say is look for someone who does hot wax, not strip wax. I went to a different therapist about a year ago as my usual one wasn’t available. She did a strip wax. My skin reacted so badly to it and my skin took ages to recover. She claimed it wasn’t the wax used but therapist. It’s definitely the wax used!
Hot wax opens the pores and takes a little longer to cool, therefore it’s less painful when the hairs are removed. Strip wax can cause more trauma to the skin and I always find strip wax far more painful on my legs than my bikini area, even when I’ve had a 6 month break from it! |
