Not simple questions to answer. With my wife we have had several mmf threesomes. We tend to go with people with a little experience as it can be a bit much for someone who hasn't done it before. Various factors like not being able to perform in front of others, struggling in close proximity with another man can really inhibit the experience. Some are like rabbit in headlights and some excel in the role. You won't know until you do it.
Starting off, I'd try to get to know the people you're joining well, the better we get on with someone the more likely the fun will be that in the bedroom.
