hello I am attending socials but I feel abit left out as want to make friends and meet people. but when I go to socials it seems people are not interested in talking to me as I really would like to get to know people and have a good chat |

I was the same when I attended my first social, I felt like a right spare prick at a wedding, the others after were a lot better, I've found that you've got to approach those who you'd like to talk to. |

As someone who finds it hard initiating chats. Sometimes it's best to just throw yourself in. You can always speak to the hosts who might introduce you to people. It's helped me when i've gone to socials. |

I am trying to talk to people but at the moment I only got to one social on a regular basis. do you think I should go to more. I do try to talk to people but it seems like they are not interested to talk |

I find it strange you complain about people not speaking to you at social's when I myself have gone out of my way to include you in a group convo and got people chatting to you.
Socials are what you put into them you cant just expect everything to be easy just because you've turned up, it's hard work that pays off if you put the work in |

We attended our first social in January in Cardiff and spent most of the night nervous as hell, thinking everybody already knew each other and we were out of place.
How wrong we were. Started chatting to people an hour before it finished and found out how lovely everybody were.
And wether there was or wasn't attraction either way, it was great to just talk to like minded people.
We are going to the next one and we definitely won't be nervous or shy xxx |
