Hey all,
Just wondering if there are any fellow DCC fans on here?
I'm an audiobook listener rather than a physical book reader and I can't wait for the latest book to come out in May.. I'm filling the time in with a re-listen to tehe whole series and also going to see Matt and Jeff in Cardiff mid March..

Sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
Does it dip much into the horror/dark humour genres?
Or is it more fantasy comedy?
I(Mr) hadn't heard of it either but I'll give it a try once I'm finished with David Wong's John Dies at the End series. I'm on book 3 of 4 at the moment.
Very much enjoying it so far.
I read the first one years ago and saw the movie adaptation but had no idea until recently that he had written three more on the series.
Also listening in audiobook format. Audiobooks have been my go to for bedtime for a good few years now. Very tough to get to sleep without one. |

Not particularly horror, more sci-fi fantasy but quite light on the fantasy. Dark but funny. It’s hands down my favourite series I’ve ever listened to or read.
I’ve never felt compelled to go see an author live before but when thy announced Matt Dinniman was coming to Cardiff along with the awesome narrator Jeff Hays I couldn’t say no. I have a spare as well if anyone is interested.
I’ve read and listened to John dies at the end and enjoyed them but not the scale of DCC.
Other favourites are the Bobverse series by Dennis E Taylor and anything by John Scalzi. Proper nerdy sci-fi, just how I like it. |
