Does South Wales need another club

Yes I believe it could do with another club and thats mainly down the network system. Traveling to Newport from some areas of south Wales especially south West a small 60 minute journey could take 3 hours for some with no motorways or duel carriageways. |

Swansea is quite awkward with licensing as traditionally they like hubs (wind street, uplands etc) but I would be curious how open the city would be to a club
I am also under the impression there was a club in the city? |

Would it not just be the same as for a private members club?
I think the issue is suitable location (transport links and parking!) and appropriate pricing - It needs to be proportionate to try and manage the balance of attendees, and expensive enough to be off-putting to people who might otherwise cause issues... but it also needs to consider the level of disposable income (or lack thereof) that the general population has right now, otherwise numbers will always be a problem. Not an easy balance to strike when even vanilla premises are struggling. |

Sorry to hear you feel that way. We’ve been going semi-regularly since August last year and have always found there’s a mix of different kinds of people every time, which is a good thing for a club.
While we’ve had the occasional issue with single guys, on the whole they’ve been respectful, and there were lots of gym-fit guys and girls there this past Friday.
Yes, there’s parts of the club which are still dated, but some work has been done recently to freshen it up, which is good news. It still has a way to go, sure, but as this thread mentions, Chams is our only club in Wales, and it’s definitely a case of use it or lose it. |

Swindon is also full of ‘bigger people’ across all of the nights they run and are always sold out within days. The only time Newport is ever full is on BBW nights. There will be a lot of people who will be very offended by your body shaming remark - not a very wise move considering you will see most of these ‘bigger’ people at the socials you go to.
The main reason that Swindon (as an example) is so successful, with people travelling significant distances to attend and Newport isn’t, is the way it’s run along with the people that attend. Swindon is inclusive, run properly, security and safety of their guests being their top priority, clean and always full of friendly, welcoming people. Single guys are also limited on the majority of the nights they run, meaning couples and single ladies aren’t constantly being hounded and harassed by the ‘wanking dead’.
Being the only club in South Wales, if it was run properly and the effort put into maintaining it, it would be an absolute goldmine with the only nearest clubs now being Weston, Swindon and Birmingham. Put the effort in and both the owners/staff and the guests will reap the rewards of a great club. But until that happens, people will continue to travel to go elsewhere to places where women aren’t constantly harassed by hoards of single men who have the mindset of ‘I’ve paid so I get’ (this is manly specific to bi night NOT members night although I’ve had it on members nights too where single men have paid for a ‘guest’ pass), where people feel safe (especially single women on their own) and are respected and welcomed regardless of their size, gender or sexuality and not made to feel ashamed for being a ‘bigger’ person |

The events ive attended in Swindon have been fantastic with a good range of people.
But I do pick events that suit what im looking for socials I tend not to really go to as I dont have the time and rather put time aside for playing.
But Newport is an awful club
Ive been to clubs as far as townhouse, va, and others all of which have been great nights |

Newport could be a goldmine if it was renovated and run/managed properly. Cardiff would do well too with one, as would something in the Swansea area. Ultimately, a great club is worth travelling a distance to attend (which is again where Newport fails miserably - I know of more and more people refusing to go there now for safety reasons amongst many others). This is why Swindon and Darleston Chams are so popular with people travelling great distances to attend.
As people have said, the red tape is huge and chatting to the guys at Swindon on the weekend, I personally didn’t realise just how many restrictions and how much red tape there is. For example, they’re having a jacuzzi installed in the extension but cannot open it on swingers nights as they cannot have it functioning with people drinking alcohol. That then begs the question of how Newport can have a jacuzzi going with people drinking alcohol, suggesting they may not be following the rules/laws properly, thus putting their customers at risk.
A good club is like any other good business/hotel - run properly, with customers looked after and constructive feedback listened to instead of being ignored, good facilities that are clean and well maintained and a friendly, welcoming and safe and environment will ultimately go from strength to strength and will keep its customers returning week after week |

Does South Wales need more clubs? Not sure, if we take the only club's attendance then plenty more can come there before another is needed. I appreciate that the west has long travel times to Newport but are the numbers enough? |

He does earn a lot of money of it yes but not quite as much on Newport as you would think. Any profits Darlaston makes it's spend on that club. Until more money is spent in Newport he won't spend the money on it.
BBW runs every other month as the Darlaston club runs the BBW the months inbetween. If it was every month people would get bored. Maybe a different kind of event could be arranged. Like a BDSM night. |

Having spoken to the guys who run it for the owners I don’t think they are bothered too much about what it looks like even though improvements have been made recently as the footfall each week is very impressive and when the place over a year period brings in nearly a million in revenue they are not bothered as they know they can keep getting clientele to visit regularly |

I think that would be a good option for the club tbh, as again there’s nowhere local (within an hour’s drive at least) where you can attend that type of night. The only one I’m aware of is Kinky in Swindon and that’s not run very often.
Maybe they should try an ‘English invasion’ like Swindon do a Welsh one…. |

Think they did a BDSM theme night a few years ago. Another thing I like about Swindon Swingers is, the cleaning products in every room, bar, the posters everywhere about consent, the air con and you dont have to dress down if you dont want to.
Havrnt been to Chams Newport for about 2½ years, maybe its time to go back. |

I have only been a couple of times.
My honest opinion is it needs directions signs and a little more lighting.
A long with cleaning equipment.
The staff have always been very helpful and polite.
I do know it has bad reviews for the wanking dead.
As for another club, Swansea would be a great area. It such a distance from Newport I can't see why it wouldn't work. |
