I have been on fab for over a year. Never really taken it seriously. Never been to a social.
I’m looking to try something new.
Also looking to get out to a social.
What’s the protocol if you recognise someone when at a social event. Do you acknowledge them? Or do you stay away?
I’m not verified and looking to take fab more seriously and make some contacts and hopefully some friends.
Any advice for basically a novice starting off?? |

When i went to my first social i bumped in someone i knew quite well and it was so easy to talk to them becuase of that reason. It would depend on how you know them, good or bad. Get yourself to a social and you'll meet some wonderful people. Best advice someone gave me was to take the plunge and attend socials |

There is no protocol whatsoever, OP. Do you feel that there is a high likelihood of you bumping into someone you know? Is that why you are asking?

The first thing is to attend some socials. Make some acquaintances and build your nexus of friends. |

To be honest I have absolutely no idea. Although I’ve been on fab for so long I’ve never taken it too seriously.
I more come on here, have a browse, don’t get a response - not a complaint as I’m not verified but then get bored.
It’s only recently that I’ve thought to take it more seriously.
I can’t sit here and moan no one replies when I have no verifications.
So, I thought let’s try it.
But I’ve never spoken about swinging with anyone so not sure if there would be someone I know, who I wouldn’t have even thought would be on here.
I hope that makes sense |

Socials are great! If you know someone its no big deal (unless you or them are hiding a marriage thats not been disclosed!) Sometimes its easier as you have a familiar face to chat too whike your nerves settle. I remember my first one and when i arrived the host asked me my user name and introduced me to the people there. After that i just chatted to every bugger in sight! It was a swansea social years ago and everyone was super friendly and approachable. My advice would be go along, get chatting and get aquainted and enjoy the company |
