Such a shame this very talented man has finally lost his long battle with Alzheimer's today.

Love his Discworld series and looking forward to his last book which should be out about June time.

The world needs more outlandish, creative minds like his and he will be sadly missed.

Dementia is a very cruel illness. At least now it cannot torment him any more and he is at peace xx

Life is strange, its a cruel joke that a man who had such a creative, funny, wonderful mind should die of something linked to it.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

He was a great author and a great inspiration. He even inspired my user name. I'll have to reread everything I have by Pratchett now.

RIP PTerry

Here!

I have not read his last two books because I knew there would not be many more.i will soon bit they are now to precious to rush. I have started again at the beginning of the Discworld (c) series and will read then all for about the fourth time. Such a great mind that is now free. I hope he had a little giggle with death before he went.

Just have to get the new one in June then I have them all. He got me into reading when I started with Truckers as a kid. Never getting rid of the books, so easy to read again

I didnt have a clue who he was, but it's a cruel, confusing disorder. Poor guy. Hopefully high profile cases like this will spread awareness.

DON'T THINK OF IT AS DYING, said Death. JUST THINK OF IT AS LEAVING EARLY TO AVOID THE RUSH.

Not read many of his books, but recognize his genius. Have acted in a couple of his plays So he's had a little impact in my life! RIP Mr Pratchett.
