Hi all we were just wondering if chams Newport is open on the 29th and if there is any theme? As we are hoping to be able to attend and finish the year off with a bang lol |

Not everyone who goes to Chams is on Fab mind you...... Some of are well-known and well established and so don't need websites. And then there are other websites besides this one.
Best thing to do is go along and see for yourself if the crowd is one you want to mingle in  . |

Obviously you will need them. I haven't played in Chams with someone who wasn't my long term partner so never needed them, but I would take your own. I have heard you can get them from the bar but I am not sure. Safest thing, take your own healthy supply. |

That was my first impression of the club at first and that was when I was with a long term petite blonde slut of a partner (slut is NOT an insult to me, I will marry one one day hopefully). All we saw first off was cliques everywhere, but as we migrated among the chat groups we realised that it wasn't cliquey, it was more about the flavours of friendships and sexual preferences that determined whom talks to whom.
I am no Chams expert, but if anything as a shy noob as both one half of a couple and then as a single male, as timid as I am if I like the place to mingle and be sociable to others then I struggle to see why people better than me would have issues.
Just my opinions, not shooting at anyone and I don't expect to be shot at. |

By definition a clique is somewhat exclusive...? It is true that as a whole this lifestyle is as a whole a clique (we have Vanilla and we have 'us'). But it is easy to see why people sense a barrier and so feel excluded. I say to those people who feel excluded, from someone so gaddamned shy as me, there are no barriers other than those you create for yourself. Everyone is willing to chat and so long as you respect others and do not judge anyone else, you will know that you are getting the exact same in return.
And I can only have the balls to say something like that because of the wonderful people I have met in Chams. |

You really don't help yourself in the local scene with comments like that 8n a local forum.
I can see why some commentators sense an unintentional barrier that might even be confused for 'cliqueness' and I can see why some commentators feel like they aren't doing anything wrong but feel excluded or unwelcome.
In a place like Chams, yes it is a private member's club but it is still a public social space. If you like it, stay. If you don't, then leave, but at least stay a full evening before you leave because someone in there will notice that you might not be having a good time and they might just pull up a stool next to you or wave you over for a chat and all of a sudden your night is turned right around. Trust me I know.
You only get what you put in. If you walk around the 0oace with your guard up, that's all you will get back. Be prepared to exchange small talk and it could be the start of a friendship.
And Fab friends generally are better than Vanilla friends, whether they come from Chams or not. |
