The next swansea
Social will be on Saturday 3rd March 2018 in Morriston area .
It's in a private function room, closed to the public.
it will run from 7.30-late
Entrance fee is £2 per person.
There will be a raffle and dj.
This is a social evening, and there will be NO PLAYING AT ALL on the premises, anyone found playing etc, will be asked to leave the premises and ban_ed from future swansea Social's.
As this is a social event dress code is smart/casual dress.
Only people with at least one veri from someone with 3 or more verifications will be able to attend. Please message if you can't turn up .
All detail's will be sent out a week before.
Look forward to seeing our regular's and meeting new pplxxxx
P.S THERE IS A LIMIT OF PPL IN FUNCTION ROOM . SO WHEN I ADD YOU TO THE LIST AND I HAVE TO TURN PPL AWAY . IT'S NOT NICE WHEN PPL DON'T MESSAGE TO SAY THEY CAN'T MAKE IT . SO SOME MISS OUT . Not looking like we can get off our drive never mind getting up to the babysitter to collect.
Caerphilly council seems to have forgotten Risca exists and no gritters or plows. |

I drove (ok a friend drove whole I navigated) from Swansea to gilfach goch last night, the m4 to pile was like there’s never been any snow, from Bridgend down to 2 lanes as the fast lane was full of snow, off at junction 34 for the hospital, the main roads are all slushy but absolutely fine, on the way back we needed fuel, Tesco Talbot green was closed as was corner park, we got off at MacArthur Glenn to Sainsbury’s, the store was open but fuel wasn’t, the roads again were all fine and then we drove to the services where we finally got fuel and the main roads were absolutely fine and clear! Can’t say about anywhere else but in case anyone’s worried, it looks like once you’re on a main road you’re absolutely fine. Hope to see you all there later xx |

That's the car dug out I think, hopefully the babysitter is fine hiking, so far where beating Mother Nature with a stick (and shovel)
All this for a night away from the little one's and a social event. Must be some special people going.

We are going to try and make it from Cardiff. Any advice on rods to avoid appreciated.
Cardiff was very quiet yesterday. That said, averaging 25mph to the Heath meant it took less time during rush hour than a normal day!!!
Only got stuck once driving round all day. So prepared with hats coats scarves gloves, more jumpers, a drink, emergency rations and a couple of shovels, we'll give it a go!!!! |

It's already melting away in Bridgend, in another couple of hours it should be like normal driving. Hopefully you can get on the main roads quickly and you will have no issues. Just avoid any major slopes (eg A470 at Heath). Perhaps the A4232 might be a better route out? |
