Morning Forum'ers.

Myself and Ric wanna plan a trip to a "nice" swingers club and are looking at Jaydees and VA which is best on a Saturday night for club newbies? Possibly taking a complete newbie (female) with us "just to watch" lol

Or could anyone suggest another club, will to travel 2 hours from Kings Lynn.

Thanks in advance.

SunnyHunny.

I travel from Norwich and prefer VA, best club I've been to. Just find the whole place works for my tastes.

Kettering

We would love to welcome you to The Vanilla Alternative. We get 4 - 6 new couples most Saturday nights and the feedback at the end of the evening is always positive.

There and to the left a bit

VA would be my recommendation - classy, great vibe, even greater hot tub, friendly, welcoming, usually busy on a Saturday night.

Been to both

I prefer v a. Love the social areas and the hot tub

Op. It's mostly open play

Jaydees. It's a cheaper night with bring your own booze I'm not keen on the layout

Near Kettering

Weve been to both and would recommend them both however for a newbie I think that jaydees might be more suitable.

We have not been to the VA since it's refurbishment but the one thing that it didn't have was lockable private rooms.

Jaydees does and if your friend is new she may appreciate that little peice of privacy should she decide to play.

Whatever club you visit you will have an amazing time im sure.

The hot tub at Jaydees is simply amazing.

They have made the whole room simply amazing.

Yes its a very friendly place V.A We really like that and did not feel left out ... loads of clubs you go too no one chat to the new people.

I've been to both and find Jaydees a friendlier crowd, with great play facilities. Can't wait to try out the new hot tub!

VA is lovely but I've not found it to be the most social of places.

Both are nice clubs and I'm sure you'll have fun!

"loads of clubs you go too no one chat to the new people."

As a party organiser, i always find this statement bizarre as conversation is a 2 way street

Its obviously fairly daunting for a newbie to attend their first club, but do they REALLY want to be inundated with guests flocking around firing questions at them to try and help them 'fit in'??

I couldnt think of anything worse tbh

I HATE the phrase that some clubs are clicky - in my opinion guests at a club are BOUND to gravitate towards other people that they feel they have something in common with

Smiling people usually attract smiling people - people having a laugh usually attract other people who want to have a giggle

If someone enters a club and LOOKS scared or worse still looks like they dont actually want to be there, then why on earth would anyone WANT to approach them to make them feel welcome?

I dont know of ANY club owner / manager / bar staff / security who wouldnt go out of their way to spend time chatting to any newbies

But not ALL newbies WANT to jump straight in with the 'locals' so it would be wrong of the 'locals' to assume so!

I'm a firm believer that the newbie has to take the lead - regardless of how daunting it may seem - and make the initial conversation with 1 or 2 of the locals

Regular club attendees LOVE meeting new people and the ones that I know are only too happy to welcome newbies into the fold, but they DONT pounce on them as soon as they walk in through the door as they would probably be scared out of their wits and run straight back out again!!

Every club has a clique, you see it in the numerous reviews, posting there recommendations as the "best club" they go regularly to the club and know lots of people there, it's not a negative thing, how the club management handle the clique is the key to newbies having a good night

Back to the OP's question, try either, pot luck if you have a good time, how you interact with others, if you feel comfortable and if you play are all factors determining if you have a good night or not, has actually very little to do with the club....

To the OP: We've been to various clubs over the last ten years and VA is our favourite by a mile. We always have a great night there.

We've never been to Jaydee's but the owners always come across very friendly on the forum. I'd have a look on their respective websites and choose which one suits you best.

I have been to both clubs and both are amazing venues. The owners and staff at both are amazing and will always make you feel very welcome and looked after.

If you feel you want some privacy then jaydees has lockable private rooms. They both have couples only areas and lovely huge hot tubs.

If curious or into the Fetish scene then again both clubs cater for this.

Why not try both!

We have never been to VA but will venture there soon.

We do attend Jaydee's a lot because we are still fairly new to the swing scene.

Jaydee's new hot tub is amazing. It's huge.

Jaydee's has 7 lockable rooms to play in if your nervous about being in a group or playing and having people watch.

Jaydee's is a small club but it's friendly and the staff are very helpful.

Xx

Tried both and no contest really Jaydees every time. VAs you feel like your intruding on there party, very clique, double the price to get in, expensive bar. You cant beat Jaydees there is no judging and you can be your self and feel comfortable something we did not feel at VAs. The staff are amazing and Tracy is all ways on hand to make sure everyone is happy and enjoying there self, if you need anything she is there, did not even know who run VAs when there. If you try both like we did then I know I will see you back at Jaydees. Hope this did not come across as a big rant about VAs its a nice venue that was just our opinion and our experience. However the bar and entry price is a fact. I disagree with anyone that says every club is Clique and would consider my self as a regular to Jaydees and friends with many regulars and every time we come across a new couple we welcome them in as we did Saturday, we saw two new couples and invited them to come talk in our group when we saw then standing alone as our newest verification proves. So no way is Jaydees clique its not run that way the people and the regulars are not that way, there's no other club like it as you will see and judge for your self as we did.

We had the same choice to make a number of years ago now. We chose the Vanilla alternative and we're so glad we did!

It was and is perfect for a first club visit. Separate reasonably priced bar from the play areas so you can come and go as much or little as you please when deciding if and how you want to play, amazing hot tub, we'll presented very relaxed crowd has always been our experience. As already said check out the reviews for both you'll see others saying the same as us. The festival of fun the first weekend in August is going to be amazing!

Good luck with whichever you choose. Don't be a wallflower is our best advice

Have to agree with this.

JDs is my club of choice, even though I haven't been in ages.

If you would like the choice to play privately in a lockable room, choose if you want to strip down to a towel or robe then I would recommend JDs.

In my opinion got to be jaydees

Staff and the people who go there so friendly

What's better than bring your own drink

The new hot tub is amazing

Why not read the reviews and message the clubs and see what you think

Near enough

Jaydees has a much more relaxed feel than VA, but each has their pros and cons, personally I prefer the facilities at Jaydees- private rooms, huge range of play equipment and I'm able to take my toybag with me, the huge hot tub and new wet area and I like that once I've paid my entry/locker fee that's it.
