No 3 club in Chorley have just started a new policy.. it's dress down on entry ! I for one like going to a club dressed up and I like to see people with their clothes on first so do you think this new policy will put a lot of people off going? Plus bring your own towel now or pay £1 deposit.

It would put us off. I don't like to dress down until I feel ready.

No issue with bringing my own towel though. Club towels are rarely big enough for me anyway .

I'm not a big club goer but I've been to dress down clubs and non dress down.

Whike I definitely feel more confident in my clothes, the dress down thing does kinda put evryone on a level playing field so to speak.

I'm not remotely body confident so it is a scary prospect but I also found it quite liberating once I actually did it.

We also don't go to clubs much but this has put us off this particular club . Club sx has themed evening ie schools out or toga which seems more fun than just walk in then get undressed . I like to see what people look like in their clothes before they get naked .

To the OP - we co/host at the club on a regular basis - and the owners have taken the decision on the new policy of Dressdown on entry which began Saturday (4/1/20) as unfortunately we did have a small number of customers who were still fully dressed well after our Dressdown time sometime up to an hour thereafter. Which it made it awkward for those who were already Dressdown -so it is equally all over. when it comes to themed night those in fancy dress can stay in the outfits ( which has always been there policy)

As for the towel hire a majority of clubs charge .

Hope this helps. And sorry to hear you will not be attending in future due to the policy

Myself personally I like clubs that allow you to decide for yourself if you want to dress down shouldn't be forced or have a time limit in your clothes ... sometimes I go to clubs to meet new friends or socialize and if I fancy someone or feel really in the mood to play I will dress down this is the best way I think to show people in the club I'm up for fun and not constantly harassed or followed by single males x

Whist we are not shy, we prefer to dress down at our leisure. We obviously wouldn't wander about the play rooms unless dressed down.

So here's the scenario, your dressed to kill, over the knee boots and stockings etc, chatting at the bar, you are getting plenty of attention. Then go off to get changed and wow

Or you walk straight into the changing room to dress down and are confronted with someone dressed in trackies, t shirt and a baseball cap, then your all dress down and they they try there luck with you at the bar. You've already been put off.

And yes it's happened to us! Hence why we prefer getting dressed down at our leisure

Wouldn't be for me personally. The idea of walking around in the buff or skimpy underwear would make me recoil. Also what happens if you're meeting someone for a social, with no intention to play? I would feel under pressure that play should happen because I'm already naked .

We don't like the idea of an enforced dress down policy, partly because we find the sight of lots of hairy men with towels around their waists very off-putting, also because we make an effort when we go out, so look for people who do likewise.

Not had the chance to visit this club yet but we prefer clubs where you can go dressed in sexy dresses etc. then dress down later, it’s nice to see people looking smart/sexy at the start of the evening, think it adds to meeting people, we understand it’s about sex when you go to a club but seeing people in towels at the start of the evening isn’t really for us but we’re sure there will be lots of people happy for it to be that way.

I don't see what the problem is with the forum, though i see where you are coming from asking for all to dress down.

Just to clarify, my comment (I'm only posting this as you quoted my comment), is that we don't mind dressing down, but wouldn't attempt to visit your club. And it has nothing to do with your dress down policy or lack of it!

I hope I've made myself clear this time.

Almost every Club in the country operate a dress down (aka dress to impress in sexy clothing) on entry.

It is bemusing why such an issue is being made of this regarding No3.

I imagine that such tender flowers are perhaps not best suited to visiting Clubs - full stop.

Dressing in sexy clothing is totally different to dressing down on entry. I have been to lots of clubs both here and abroad and only one enforced dress down on entry which is Cupids. It certainly isn't a policy for "almost every club".

What do you understand by dressing down then? Really there can be nothing better than a Club full of sexily dressed people.

Men or women who want to remain in trackies /jeans/hoodies for the night are probably not suited to going to any kind of Club really.

To me dressing down means a towel or underwear.

Sexy clothes is what I would wear in a club before dressing down and I would expect a man to wear a shirt and smart trousers.

Only people I have ever seen in a club in trackies or hoodies have been the creepy male lurkers. Majority are dressed well & in sexy attire which is removed as people relax. Being made to strip down to underwear on arrival would definitely put me off. Can understand dress down being compulsory for play areas but not as soon as you get in the door of the club

Totally agree. I prefer to arrive dressed in something smart and sexy and then dress down when I choose.

If this new policy,,which some people will like and others wont, was introduced because a few people stayed dressed after a certain time. Why did the club not address the small number of people who broke the rules, rather than altering it for everyone ?

OP if it's not your thing, find another club. There are plenty that don't enforce dress down on entry .

Costa Blanca Spain...

We regularly see both sides of this.

In Germany almost every club is dress down on entry and most strictly enforce it

In Spain very few clubs have any dress code at all and the few that do very rarely enforce it.

We prefer the German clubs.

We don't mind normal street wear in the bar area (although much better to see the ladies in their nice outfits ) but in the play areas for us it's very much a no go.

Nothing worse than some guy popping his cock through his jeans expecting a shag, as quite often happens in Spain.

As I remember, Cupids (in Mary and Glens days) was always dress down on entry. Not been for many years so don't know if it still is.

Clubs that allow people to walk around playrooms dressed is not for us, feels seedy, wrong vibe. In Spain dressed bar and dancefloor optional undress but play areas are other side of changing room (like at health clubs you dress down to go into leisure/pool side) This is perfect compromise for clubs with dancefloor/bar area chameleons is dressdown on arrival, our favourite club and its been thriving for years

I prefer dressing down straight away, as it’s part of the ‘freedom’ of being in a swingers club? It’s always a great ‘leveller’ across the board, for everyone from all walks of life. I wasn’t a fan of No.3’s ‘dress down’ time policy to be fair, there was always that rush of people to get in and out of the changing rooms. Although, it made it easy to start conversations with people when someone bent over and stuck their bum in your face lol

I was planning on attending on the 24th for BMFC for the first time, but I don’t want to come now due to the dress down policy.

I’ve never been to the club before, would be coming alone and will be driving, so completely sober. The last thing I want is to have to strip off as soon as I get there, that just wouldn’t be fun for me, it’s not how I like to do things.

It’s a shame though, I was looking forward to it.

You don’t have to “strip off” as soon as you arrive. Dress down just means not street clothing - the vast majority of Clubs in this country are dress down on arrival - some people choose to read that as just a towel whereas most women dress down to sexy underwear, sexy club gear.

We are going to No3 on Friday and Mrs H always dresses down on arrival (wherever we go) and on Friday she will be dressing down to a diamanté mini skirt and top.

Really no one expects you to literally strip off. I would say the rule change is probably long overdue and is now in line with almost every other Club in the U.K.

Don’t worry - you will be fine

I’ve been to loads of clubs all over the country and the only one I’ve been to before that enforces immediate dress down is Cupid’s, and I didn’t like it, so haven’t been back.

When I dress down it’s into lingerie, but I don’t want to do that as soon as I get there. Each to their own, but I like to decide if/when I take my clothes off

It’s a very different scenario going as part of a couple to a club you’re familiar with, to going as a single girl to a place you’ve never been.

OK - but I would say that you are missing out on trying out one of the best clubs in the north of England.

I think the rule was maybe more directed at guys who stayed in street clothing for too long and this intimidated the women who had dressed down into clubgear/lingerie.

Xtasia in the Midlands does not have a dress down policy - that may suit your needs. That too is great club with some epic nights and the owners are good people.

Not in line with Atlantis, Club SX, Xtasia and The Attic though. There must be many many more that don’t have a dress down rule.

Xtasia sounds ideal for you then

Seriously though, It is a shame, I was looking forward to it, but it’s just not for me when this rule is applied. Another girl I know isn’t going for the same reason. I prefer some initial modesty. Plus I like to see how a man presents himself when not just in his pants. Chatting to a well dressed man, flirting at the bar is a big turn on for me.

Yes, the more relaxed vibe at Xtasia is much better for me

"Judging by the comments on this thread, dress down on arrival doesn't seem very popular.

Almost every Club in the country operate a dress down (aka dress to impress in sexy clothing) on entry.

It is bemusing why such an issue is being made of this regarding No3.

I imagine that such tender flowers are perhaps not best suited to visiting Clubs - full stop."

Totally agree here, dress down for women is lingerie, men it's a towel or pants. Then you can see if you're prospective playmates are fully what you'd expect!

. No they don’t. You only have to dress down when entering the play room areas

I like stripping off but I also like to go out dressed up. I’ve been to No3 and I like it there. I know ladies like to put their favourite outfit on before stripping to lingerie. Might be more of an issue for them.

"We love being naked, spend most our time naked in Spain and we don’t go on holidays where you can’t get naked but feel on a night out it’s nice to go dressed up to start the evening and then dress down later."

Sums it up for me.

I'm new to all this, only had one club visit and it wasn't dress down nor a separation of play area from bar. End result was lots of single men fully clothed all evening watching.

Definitely put us off playing much when you've got a group of fully dressed men standing six inches away. The naked room was a saving grace.

When I was with my wife she liked to get dressed for the occasion. Short skirt, stockings, heels etc. Also as a Dom, I enjoy being dressed I wear my kilt and a particular jacket. It's not street wear, do I don't think it's seedy when I'm playing in the dungeon. I also like to play with women who have dressed for sex. Nakedness is a good leveller for those that can't be bothered to make an effort. Sexy clothes yes- street clothes No!

I am new to the club scene and have been to number 3 for the last 2 sundays, I was quite happy for it to be dress down on entry, the guys in boxers and ladies in sexy lingerie looking fantastic.

This is what we dislike. Love seeing people on streetclothes, get a vibe from how they dress. Perfect setup is bar/dancefloor area with changing room separating play area with compulsory dressdown to move on in there. Of course they allow dressdown back bar etc, just no streetclothes beyond. Mystique in Tenerife is fine example.

North West

Surely the point is that this is one Club choosing its own policy which they have every right to do.

We have visited Chameleons and Xtasia regularly and both have massively different policies and each suit the venue perfectly and each are appropriate for the mood.

Life would be pretty boring if every venue had the same policy.

We are going to No3 tomorrow for the first time in quite a while. I do recall that previously it felt a bit silly to have to march into the changing room when the bell sounded and so if the rule for this Club is to now dress down (dress up lol) on arrival then we have absolutely no problem with that arrangement at all. We will make the most (and the best) of it as we always do lol

I'm really confused by the comments that state "most clubs have a similar policy"

Iv been to a few clubs and other than in the spa areas none of them have dress down policy.

I get it that some like it but lots don't so I'm not supprised some now won't visit the club.

exactly it wouldn't really be in most clubs best interests to insist on dress down would it?

I attended on Friday and, as expected, didn’t like the dress down on entry policy. Unlikely I’ll go again. I went as part of a couple, so didn’t feel vulnerable as I would as a single, but I didn’t find it sexy.
