Bi-curious/Bisexual Message Filter

Hi!
I'm curious to know if anyone else would like to see a "bi-curious/bisexual only" message filter added so only those with "bi-curious/bisexual/gay" listed on their profiles can contact you?
I think this would be hugely beneficial to people like ourselves who clearly list our wants but get ignored and messaged anyway. I understand some get more messages than others and having to go through politely saying no thanks to a few dozen people is too much when if the filter picked them out neither them nor us would be wasting our time. I'm positive other site supporters would appreciate it.

Yes that would be great. Sometimes it does grate to get halfway down a profile of someone who's viewed or messaged us, to then read "no bi guys".... |

We all get these messages anyway though, the filter would block those from being able to contact us. If they then decided to start declaring themselves bi just to send a message, they're in for a fright at the meet.

Yes pls!!!! Gets annoying straight lads messaging then they say oh not bi when it’s on our profile that’s what we’re after. Or they will “let” Male half suck their cock! Or they won’t put bi on profile as people they meet don’t do bi men.
Also couples who don’t want bi men, so why keep looking at profile loads???? |

It would definitely be an improvement to have a filter for bisexual only.
As a single man, one of my searches is for bisexual couples. But to come up on that search BOTH he and she have to be bisexual.
I do wonder if I miss out on some couples because she's listed as straight.
The couples I prefer are where the male of a couple is bisexual. |

I think so long as one is bicurious/bisexual then they wouldn't be blocked due to their preference."
I understand. I think it's a difficult one and more so with couples. As with singles they are either straight, bi curious, bi or gay and you can search for them that way. But with couples it's more complicated, as some will say they are a bi couple but one of them will be straight. In your profile you actually say you meet bi curious couples but that the male can be straight.
For me, I think a search criteria where you can pick the sexual preference of both partners of a couple might work better but your suggestion would also help. I don't think it's an either / or rather both helping to improve things. |

I just feel that with the message filters, they're very basic. That's fine and they do their job for the most part but sexual preference should be an option. Our only other choice is to block single men from contacting us and we'll have to look for them ourselves. It's a shame having to do that but looks more likely that we'll have to. |

Agreed, it would be great to put in place but for a measure of equality and practicality for the ‘bi’s’ amongst us please also include a switch for us to block the straights from messaging us too... I personally have no interest in closet guys for example.
I have no idea what your own experience is with bi messages but I would say well over 1/2 my incoming come from guys hiding under a straight profile. I suspect you may still get advances from them in truth even with a filter. |

I’d also add to this that sexuality should be a profile feature which is chosen at signup and is set.
If someone should travel during the course of their ‘development’ then an admin request to change it would be made in the same style as a single to couple profile or vice versa.
It would stop a lot of the ever switching profiles.
Perhaps veri summaries should also be displayed as standard too. |

So, we received the standard "warning message" and our status was removed. We are now just reporting every straight person requesting the message filter as it seems we just get ignored other ways.
Maybe if more people do the same they will eventually listen? Would also help those not wishing to meet bi people. |

I think the vigilante approach rarely strengthens an argument, I also feel so called “shaming” can be quite damaging on some occasions to those named.
I agree with a lot of the considered comments on the thread. Ideally we would all get messaged purely by those we are looking for. I get messages from the “straight guys”, those out of my age range, the married, the cheaters, the ugly (sorry but I am human) etc... it’s annoying to have messages in numbers but when all said and done, what damage are they doing and what gives me the right to be horrible when actually they are just saying I find you attractive?
One should also be careful, it’s very easy to position oneself as a little bit bigoted, accidentally.

For sure, I think we all get that though... I had a rude guy today, my no thank you was greeted by a reply insinuating I had an issue because he was Asian. I didn’t obvs, I just had an issue with him being a knob, I deleted and moved on... bi guys aren’t the issue, guys who can’t rejection are.
I just think as someone of the Bi plus spectrum I read a few of the responses from people above and cringe on their behalf if I’m honest.
Any changes regarding ‘sexuality’ filters need to be fair and cover all groups and preferences.

We have tried contacting the site with the suggestion numerous times with no response, reported specific people asking for the same. No response. It happened to be a particularly annoying guy with rude messages. Put one status and admin are all over it, suggesting we contact them if we have a problem. Yes, we tried that |

We see the point however we both like some bi play but struggled with the label. I (Dan) am orally bi and might top and Mrs is happy playing but doesn’t lick.
When we had bi cur we got some caustic messages from bi cpls who say you cannot be bi cur or bi if Mrs doesn’t lick!!!
Other straight cpls thought i just wanted the mans coxk so we went back to str8 and message bi cpls lol - the filter might stop this |

There is indeed but that doesn't stop non-bi people from contacting us and that's what these filters are about. If I don't want men or those without pics to contact us I can select the filter option to stop them. I'd like the exact same thing for sexual preference/orientation.

Loads of men won't put bisexual or bicurious on their profiles because of prejudice and stigma. It's socially far more acceptable for women to be bisexual and bicurious, but for men it's still means discrimination and social prejudice. So you would miss loads of potential people. |

You have probably met and played with a bi guy without even knowing. On the kinsey scale there are eight levels from completely straight to completely gay, very few people are completely straight or gay, just sexual. It's social heteronormacy and religion that brain wash people in to the belief you can only have sexual relationships with the opposite sex, causing goodness knows how many suicides and mental health issues in the process. |

With the quirks of the internet I one day found myself ‘unable to find server’ .. but what was offered on google were entry after entry of posts by newspapers up and down the country reporting sexual offences by people that have used Fabswingers as their place to target victims!??!
I found this quite disturbing as this really tarnishes the whole world of swinging and the many genuine people who love this site.
As a genuine paying member of Fabswingers for over ten years I’ve recognised a real change in the last four to five years of, on one side, so many inappropriate people, mostly men but plenty of women too, absolutely no respect or even understanding of the ‘scene’ or rules/ etiquette etc etc
This often results in members, couples and singles, who are normally very warm and nice having to write threatening rants and lists of ‘NOs’ etc in order to lessen the grief we all now seem to expect on fab these days..even before covid.
Is Fabswingers too accessible to all and sundry ??
Is there a way people can be better ‘vetted’ somehow, by recommendation perhaps...?
As I’m sure after reading the newspaper bits there will be police monitoring the site, as well as fabswingers who are also police, does the site admin have ‘monitors’ ?
Perhaps established fab members could also help putting the hours in, seeking out fake, underage, illegal, inappropriate and other dubious profiles before (like a virus) it overwhelms...?
