Text boxes act like password fields

I browse the site on my iPhone in mobile mode.

Often, but not always, when I go to type a message (direct messages and on the forum), the text box that I’m typing in acts like a box where you’d put your password. This means the “Passwords” icon appears above the keyboard, which if I tapped it would take me to my saved passwords. This means the spellcheck and predictive text is turned off. It makes typing out a message longer and more frustrating.

Does this happen to anyone else?

It would happen to me when I used to log in via our old iPad. It is bloody frustrating. If memory hasn't dealt me a turd, I just removed fabswingers.com from the password manager. A tech savvy youth suggested I change something on my browser settings, but I'm not too good at stuff like that and it was easier to just remove fabswingers.com.

It was much less hassle to type in my username/password when logging in.

Thanks for the suggestion. I do not have my password saved on my phone though.

I find it happens on the “search by username” field - I think the phone sees the word “username” and assumes it means your own one which may or may not be saved in the passwords app on the iPhone

Maybe there’s a setting somewhere but for me having passwords appear when I want them is more useful than the annoyance of it appearing here when it’s not needed
