Clubs section clean up ??

Jump to: Newest in thread

Is it not time for a clean up of the clubs section ?? We noticed they are more than a few clubs on there that are no longer open or have a website etc ??

Would be great to get this all in line so people can check out which clubs they would like to visit ?

It is NOT in Croydon ... Its in CRYSTAL PALACE

Asking for updates this way can be mis-leading or you may be given incorrect information

While on the subject of clubs listings etc the feedback system for a club being verified as a "great, fantastic, brilliant, ultimate place to visit for fun" by actual people who work there seem a bit silly ?

If i were to set up a club listing i would verify it every week saying it was brilliant even if it was rubbish to try and get people to visit so could admin not delete any verification from someone associated with the club ? xx

Agree that's one way of abusing the present system but remember, any club review can be reported to admin stating the reason for your request to delete it ..

I agree that it needs tidying up but I'm confused ....you're asking for an EVENT held at a club already listed to be listed as a separate venue/club, on that basis you would want all that clubs events listed as 'clubs' making NO sense ?! Clearly the point of CLUB section is that they are all different VENUES ? Or am I missing the point here .....? ??

Phukt is a private event (nothing to do with the club its held at), this can be said for Eyes Wide Shut, BMFC, Swingfields etc.

These are not clubs either they are events but they are already listed.

There are also House Parties listed in the Clubs section

So don't see your argument, unless your saying all these should be deleted too?

Can't speak for the others but SWINGFIELDS is NOT held in a club and IS a seperate location, so I agree with the CLUB/VENUE heading, if it's not a club OR a venue then why list it with other clubs or venues ....? We hold all sorts of private events I.e. Horny porny, jungle fever, dress2impress, carnal and subfourzero etc, all run by people who rent the venue , so should they all be listed ....? Maybe have a seperate forum for "special events" ? Then successful events like Phukt etc can get found more easily ? Xx

Actually it is a bit of a mess perhaps a suggestion is either call it VENUES. Or CLUBS AND VENUES , as you're right CLUBS really isn't reflective of a lot of the listings in there xx

We didnt start this thread to cause any issues, purely to have a bit of a tidy up of the section and remove clubs that are no longer open / active or out of date information

As for our event, if Fab feel its not relevant or will cause confusion etc then we have no problem with that whatsoever, we have regular events running for the rest of the year and dates confirmed for next year. We felt it would be good to have our own listing so that reviews , website and other information could be found easily for those wanting to know due to the success and volume of attendee's. No big deal though

Perhaps a new revised section could be created with listings for clubs / venues and large regular events such as the ones mentioned in previous posts ?

And perhaps a volunteer would be good to keep everything in check and up to date ??

Its SO SIMPLE-

A "CLUB / VENUE" is a VAT REGISTERED - COMPANY with an ACTUAL - REGISTERED VENUE with the (local authority / planning ) and FULLY ADVERTISED PREMISES.

Calling anything else a "Club" is just, plain "misleading rubbish"

Otherwise - it's a penny a dozen private meet & greet etc

Clearly it's not that simple as you have made at least two mistakes in pointing out just how simple it is.

Why does it need to be vat registered ? If their turnover is less that the figure for compulsory registration then they don't have to be vat registered !!

Secondly they don't have to be a company if they are a sole trader or partnership and have no share holders or directors and are not rather ltd or Plc then there is no registration at companies house and are therefore classed as a business !!

Not so simple after all ...

you only seem to have addressed one point ? what about the vat issue ?

as for naming sole trader clubs we have better things to to than delve into the tax affairs of clubs. as for being Micky mouse you seem to be under some delusion that being a ltd company somehow makes it bigger or better this is a complete misunderstanding ltd means nothing about the size or quality of a operation it simply means limited liabilities. for certain clubs it may actually be beneficial to be a sole trader or partnership as opposed to ltd. but as it's so simple you probably already know this

so quite simply what your saying is , because you club is ltd and vat registered it's better than any Micky mouse club that's not ltd or vat registered ? does this apply when looking for builders, plumbers , hotels and generally any business full stop ?

We regularly attend two clubs that are absolutely fantastic venues where we have super fun and neither are VAT registered and coincidently are both operated by sole traders

Actually the reason we came on here was to see if Mods can remove the listing for the Spartan sauna in Leeds, its actually a brothel that has never been a club or held club nights !!

I think the poster who would regard these clubs as Micky mouse actually has no grasp of the basics of such issues but is actually just shamelessly self promoting his club by disregarding any other club that isn't ltd or vat registered even though he's has clearly displayed he doesn't know what he's on about.

Some even have "reviews" stating they are closed too.

Makes you wonder why bother reporting them.

If is not Vat registered, OR incorporated , it's SMALL TIME!!! why call it a CLUB??? A CLUB means a TANGABLE - REGISTERED - BUSINESS ADRESS - I can pop in a cab, and tell a driver to GO THERE!!!

If it's address - is the 3rd secret of fatima... it's a joke! Not a CLUB!

I have looked at the website of your so called swingers club and it states your "Ireland's only 7 day a week gay sauna" so it seems your main activity is as a gay sauna with swingers parties held on occasions so you claims to gradure as being a fully fledged registered vat paying swingers club seem to fall slightly flat !!! also your whole marketing strategy on your website seems to centre around bad mouthing other clubs and nights and telling everyone how your the only this and the only that and have even gone on to list the shirt falling of everyone else the same as you seem to be doing on here. if your club is that great then why feel the need to do it ? you also mention on another site that " your fully registered limited company so your customers can feel safe " sorry but I fail to see how your tax affairs do anything to protect customers and make them safe in your gay sauna/ part time swingers club ?

I'll let my FAB -CLUB RATINGS !!! do the talking. FAB IRELAND CLUBS

Hope you not one of those, that will not post a NEGATIVE -UNTRUE post - Out of spite!!! "

no we have better things to do than write bad reviews on clubs we have never been to or belittle the quality of clubs of the basis of their companies house registration, as for giving a bad impression of your club I will leave that to you !!!

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Well I thought I'd have a look at 'the best VAT registered club in Ireland!'. The webpages are a bit confusing to be honest. Most webpages for UK clubs have a menu across the top so you can check times, prices, events, directions etc. Not this one. The information IS there, but you have to read through screeds of ranting about the other 'clubs' in Ireland, and how they are all fake. But I finally found my way to the prices. Free for single women, well of course. free for couples, that's nice. But gentlemen, take hold of your wallets, because your membership will cost you €300

If I ever catch a single bloke complaining about membership fees in UK clubs I will link them to 'the only REAL club in Ireland' because, compared to Irish men, they don't know they're born.

it's quite understandable that single men get charged that much as being the only fully registered club in Ireland they have to pay corporation tax so they have to find the money somewhere !!!

As said by some one can Admin open an European listing please. We do often travel and he speaks several languages but to find comments about clubs is difficult except on their own web pages so no independent reviews... Think it would help a bit

If they have it wouldn't be in the same place as the Labour party owned the building and frowned on its use even though it had been there for a long time so therefore they must have known what it was

I think it's going to be the Labour Party offices gym now , so whichever way you look at it it's going to be full of cocks

Can Admin delete Spartan Sauna in Leeds it isn't a swingers club at all and think because of that shouldn't be kept in the list of clubs.
