Perhaps you fabbers will help me with this. Ages ago i remember watching a movie about a WWII air crew playing _aseball in the desert around the wreckage of their bomber. In the end we realise that it's a ghost story and the twist is that one man is left alone. Because his body was not recovered his spirit must stay and he ends the film playing bat and ball in the desert on his own, forever.

What's the name of that tear jerker movie?.....

I know it isn't a film, but a ducumentary, but the World at War. In particular, the part called "Red Star"

Really sad footage of the Russian campaign and atrocities and Lawrence Olivier's narration and particularly the summing up in the final minutes. Gets me every time. A really tragic time in human history.

About two-thirds way through there is a scene where they are walking hand in hand. No dialogue, but a Randy Newman song, Feels Like Home, sang by a very good friend of mine makes me blub. Not because of the film, but out of pride to hear my friend singing in the film.

The only film I have ever blubbed at was The Impossible, about the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami in Thailand.

Not films, but I regularly blub at The Repair Shop and Car SOS.

Watership down. Still can't hear bright eyes fully. Destroys me no matter what mood I'm in.

Deep impact. Not a porn film.

A film I watched as a teenager where the a couple are in love, one of them dies then the other commits suicide and sees their partner and they're all like you're not meant to be here. Go back (they're on the operating table). Couldnt tell you what it's called.

Disney Pixar's Inside Out

Muppets feature length episode (ok not a film) tribute to Jim Henson.

Arizona Dream: when the soaked and hypothermic eskimo collapses on the ground. He tried to shoot the wolf to protect his sled and dogs, that he rescued from a dangerous hole in the ice.

The wolf comes for him, then opens his jaws and grabs him by the hood...then drags him back on to the sled and sends the dogs off with their precious load, to return home safe and sound.

Fuck! That's how to grab my attention within 4 minutes.

The ending too is amazing, as I too have chased an ambulance towards the moon.

A totally underrated film.
