Without the possibility of meeting currently do you find that starting conversations on here with people that you haven’t met run out of stream?
What has kept you returning to fab during lockdown? |

For me it's been the forums lately, individual conversations are few and far between these days but with the forum it's an open conversation that everyone gets involved in
In a sense it's an easier way to communicate but that could just be me |

Lockdown Fab is all I've ever known so I've actually enjoyed speaking to people while it lasts.
Not sure what I'm going to do if they actually want to meet |

Chats with people who just can't actually chat (sex talk with strangers does nothing for me) is never going to go anywhere with me, just means we'd have nothing to talk about if we met! Stimulating conversation with a good dose of good humour and a dash of banter ... and we're more likely meet to meet in the future! I don't require daily chats but regular catch ups for sure. |

Same. I just don't see the point. And I don't like using Fab to chat anyway... I prefer WhatsApp but I probably give my number out once a year |

Well the people I chat with know I don’t do sex talk, there’s only so many times you can tell someone wha thou want to do with them.
I have natural conversations as if we are in a bar. I tend to talk about all sorts I’ve enjoyed getting to know people. Some I talk to like the daily chat and some we just keep in check every now and again. Personally I haven’t found running out of steam the case. I’m a chatter box |

for many people, myself included, fab is about more than just meets.
the conversation, the friendship, the forums, its all part and parcel of why i thoroughly enjoy this site.

We've made some really close connections with fab members over lockdown, some of which have helped and supported us through tough times.
We haven't made many new connections, but there's definitely excitement and anticipation for when we can which is fun in itself!
.
It's also enabled us to find what we do and don't want from Fab and how to filter and portray that.

I've found lockdown fab, to be no different to pre-lockdown fab, some conversations naturally tale off, some are daily and others a catch up every few days. |

I think it's naturally difficult to keep up a conversation for months about what could only be a one time meet. I keep checking in on the people I'm really into and other than that I do let it slip a bit. |

Lockdown has made me more aware of what I am actually looking for, what I don't want and most importantly, when we're being let out in phases I absolutely won't be interested in anyone that couldn't chat through lockdown! Cornwall is going to be a shagfest of desperate, sex starved people (holiday sex for you isn't my holiday! ) I'm not a port! |

I've managed to make connections since I've been back, hopefully a meet when we're able to. I don't think I've run out of steam just yet! Just praying it all goes to the timescale they've set out!! |

I prefer face to face contact anyday... While chats here have been fun you can't be that personal contact... So I can understand people run out of steam.. Its a hard slog. There is light at end of tunnel though... This summer could be the break we all need |

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest |
I've been on fab a grand total of 30 minutes in 3+ weeks.
All seems rather pointless and irrelevant. Forums hold virtually no interest as they currently. Found a couple of threads I actually botheted to comment on just now.
Time to call it a night. |

Pictures and forum though some days are a struggle to find somewhere to join with for a bit of good time. Whether it's musing together or simple banter. The general energy seems low and I hope we can all pick up soon. |

"Not just on Fab, but everywhere
Because no one has had a particularly interesting year, it doesn’t really inspire brilliant conversations! "
Where did you go today? Took the bin out
Did anything interesting? Called my mum
How's the sourdough starter? Chucked it out months ago, taken up existential angst instead |

Literally this! And it feels weird talking about pre covid life as it was over a year ago! New material for conversation needed
The most interesting thing that has happened to me this week is I won £2 on a scratch card, then lost that scratch card. It’s been a rollercoaster. |

I start telling people about talking to my family. They have lives and shit because Covid is under control there. But also major flooding, so you win some you lose some |

I've found a few good friends on here just chatting during lockdown x that's why i like to come on a couple of times a week x i don't run out of steam or things to chat about x there's a lot of nice people on here who are just chatting to get past the pandemic x it's hard to believe how many personal things you tell each other when you get to trust them |

Definitely. Many conversations died.
With new contacts, certainly , but also with older contacts with whom the flow of contacts slowed down greatly or disappeared altogether.
I questioned myself a lot at some point. Less now.
But the Covid era certainly brought a change in the conversations. |

The forums are a big part of what I enjoy in here, but unless there is a good connection established in conversation I do find it difficult to keep up momentum .... |

"I have made a few new friends but to be honest fab has lost its appeal. The forums are getting repetitive with the same topics week in week out. Not as much fun as once before."
I agree |

We’ve only just returned!
We took the time off to be with each other, it just happened to correspond with the lockdowns.
Conversation is as we’d expect in the current situation; people are unsure what to expect from the future so can’t commit to the emotional investment in contacts that they can’t ensure to maintain.
If people prefer to have short chats before meeting, then they’re not going to be able/want to engage over longer periods of time, so the conversations will die out.
It’s a simple understanding of dynamics; change your approach or cut the contacts.

I don't come now to meet and I'm not clear when we can meet, so I keep that off my radar completely. I keep things light with people who I may chat with. I recommend that you focus on other great things here and elsewhere, other than potential recruitment of likely prospective partmers, until the safety in the UK is more suited to people having different priorities to now, if you're feeling your esteem impacted. |

Yeah, I'm getting bored of the same old same old. We aren't looking obviously and it's so hard to feel like theres anything worth talking about, let alone trying to create a connection with someone. Not for me so far |
