I would seem to be in a serious answer mood today 
I've not had a period in over 14 years since going on the mirena coil. So I'm going back a while with my answer. If it was a heavy flow and my uterus cramps were bad then I would rather stab my eyes with blunt forks. Spooning and a hot water bottle would be the closest B would get. Towards the end we would often have sex because we were in the mood and just clean up after. It was never a particular turn on or kink for either of us though.

Only done it by accident.

I don't have periods these days with contraception but I used to get super horny when it was that time of the month, I hardly bleed lying down but the Mr still wouldn't go near me, only on very rare occasion

I have no issue with it on light flow days and never had an issue with guys turning me down. Just pop a towel down.
Once got caught out on a first date, thought it was safe (last day of period) total crime scene which surprised us both

I know my wife gets super horny when she’s bleeding. So long as there’s no pain obviously.
But it can sometimes feel quite dry and look like a murder scene, which can put some folks off.

We have done it unintentionally a couple of times. I get super horny around the time I'm going to start bleeding, literally down to the minute so we don't have long to appease my appetite and sometimes we take a bit longer than a few minutes. And I'm not stopping when an orgasm is building for a bit of blood.

It's a fairly regular occurrence, because I'm like a dog on heat. I have heavy periods but it's not as messy as I think it should be. There is a very distinctive smell of iron though I will admit. Luckily doesn't bother the other half so it's all good. |

I've done it purely because we had limited opportunities to meet (living in different countries) and she was slightly irregular with her times. It was fine, dare I say the taboo was quite arousing) and we only trashed one hotel sheet. (Fortunately I could sneak into the laundry room and swap it!) Messy but fun. |

I'm now post menopause (which brings a whole load of alternative 'challenges'!!), but when I did get periods they were always really heavy and painful. So apart from the fact that I just didn't feel the least bit sexy while my soul was trying to claw it's way out through my uterus, having sex actually made the pain even worse on the couple of occasions I tried it, it was always a no go zone from then on. |

Being perimenopausal in full swing, my periods are super heavy. And still haven’t found a man who actually likes it. I had a FWB a few years ago who couldn’t get enough of period sex but he was a very, very rare exception.

I’ve played with gf’s when on their periods must say some found it unusual but once I insisted and on occasions removed their tampons they accepted it. Some suffered stomach aches and pains prior to it but enjoyed the sex saying it took their minds off it. |
