...representative of your persona in real life? If someone got to know you through your forum posts and then met you in person, would they be surprised in any way or are you the same IRL and online?
I come across better in the forums, not because I'm projecting a different persona but because I'm better with the written than the spoken until I'm comfortable with you. Plus in the forums you can imagine me as devilishly handsome with the voice of your choice! |

I will not write anything here that I will not say out of here
If the idea of this place is to meet someone then you’ll soon come unstuck when they realise you are totally different to here |

I’d say I’m exactly the same in real life, just a positive, cheeky unfiltered guy that says exactly what’s on his mind really.
I’m just like marmite but I’m just me also. |

Probably a bit better in real life with women once they have my attention and I know them - things you won’t see online.
Other than that I’m the same. Authenticity is also something I really respect in others on here - particularly men. |

I think I project 80% of me on here and it is representative. I’m bouncy, sarcastic, flirty occasionally a bit sharp.
The missing 20%…. A more sensible thoughtful side & some important shit that only certain people get to see.
I think I’m bigger in real life as well 🤣 |

"I’m exactly the same in real life. Outspoken, a bit of a dick and think I’m funnier than I am but I have a caring side that doesn’t come out very often on here."
Saves me writing anything. Repeat this for me. Centre of anything social going on, extrovert. Sarcastic AF. In fact, if anything I probably tone it down a touch on here. |

You did well on the not writing anything 😂
For me - if I am happy to put it in a post, I’d have been happy to say it in real life. No point in putting on a persona. |

It has to be toned down. Certain humour is frowned upon round these parts. |

No shiiiiiiiit. A few forum bans, a multi-block, ability to quickly get the Offended Brigade assembled. I have learned. There is always someone else who will take the hit nowadays. Usually a noob. I was that noob. 😂 |

I think I don’t come across well through the forum, mainly due to language barrier, cultural differences and inability to express myself in written form which may come across as rude or bitter.
I’m a very different person in real life, when I can fully engage with the person, and express myself through spoken words, body language, eye contact and other forms of interaction. |

I’m very shy and quiet. That probably doesn’t across on the forums. Or maybe it does. I dunno.
If I meet someone, irrespective of whether we have chatted online or on the phone or whatever for ages beforehand, it can take me months until I’m relaxed around them in person to be my sassy true self (in person).
I’m also more of a listener than a talker. And I don’t waffle and go on about my past sexploits in person . |

"I don't like using the term real life so I'll say face to face …"
Hard agree from me there.
The thing our grandchildren will find quaintest about us is that we distinguish the online from the ‘real’. |

Those who have met me would know better. But I think I'm very much the same in person. The only difference is that if I'm sad I try not to bring it here. I'll let people see me be more vulnerable face to face.

This version of me has been filtered to exclude the mundane crap, the vulnerable side, the things I'm not comfortable a load of strangers seeing. I won't post when I'm having a particularly bad spell of intrusive thoughts, for example.
Everyone does this. What I allow through isn't false, it's just not the full picture. |

I have many personas , from the history fan, the swashbuckling nerd, to the sensitive passionate & intense fab play, to the jokey not taking life too seriously……..it’s all me …..just not all about me . Only when one brings other people into the mix do you see all of me |

I don't have a persona.
I'm just me.
I'm not confrontational by nature but I will give my opinion even if it is the exact opposite of what everyone else is saying.
Anyone who has met me can confirm that I do wear clothes when out in public. |

I take myself very seriously in real life, am anti social, hate humour, despise acerbic or ironic language, expect people to be serious in their conversation, and am clearly gay with no interest in women.

I'm much quieter on the forum than in real life. I don't have friends on here so don't feel the sense of community that would prompt me to join in a lot of discussions, which is not representative of real life me at all! |

WHEREVER I LAY MY HAT |
I certainly don't curate a different online persona so I think I'm similar irl. I'm a sarcastic cow that doesn't take anything seriously, but I think I'm kinder and more sensitive than I probably come across when I'm active on here. |

"Same here and in real life.. Who has the energy to fake it? "
I wasn't asking about faking anything. Just whether there's a natural difference between how you might come across on the forums or in-person. There's lots of reasons why you might (nerves, being better in writing than speaking, etc). |

A real dichotomy from me, IRL im typically willing to be vulnerable with people that I choose to know better, 1:1.
A bit of spectrum thing, I have a thing here on the Forums and real life to always be authentic, but i nuance it here, turn the personal down, turn the cheeky up, the DNA of authentic me there.
But 1:1 100% authentic, self deprecatingly so. Things make sense better 1:1.

Someone once said I am "Like Night and Day."
Two sides to me , not in a bad way or a change in my personality, but you'll always see and get more of the real me in person 😊 |

I’d like to think I’m exactly the same IRL as the image I project in here? I’m not trying to win any popularity contests by being someone I’m not, I say what I think as I see things, and people can either love me or not love me, that’s their prerogative. It’s not like I’ll be meeting anyone from the forums anytime soon!
I do have a much sexier voice IRL though, even if I do say so myself….. |

I'm the same. I'd hope anyone I've met would see that.
We all have our ups and downs at times. These days when I'm not in the right head space I don't post. But that's a lot less frequent these days than a year or so ago.
I've seen some cases over the years where someone's online persona is significantly different from the reality though. When that happens I'll distance myself from them, both on and offline. There's enough drama in life to not need any additional input from people I can easily choose to avoid.
Generally though every forum user I've met has been lovely. And I've met a fair few. 😁 |

I pull the same nonsense in person. Sarcastic, dry wit, and people don’t know if I’m serious or full of nonsense.
I also dress the same as my photos in person. Minus full on lingerie out and about. I hide that with clothes on top. |

Something similar to this... the genuine article across the board, though far more shy in real life and wouldn't go for the handsome bit on any account. |

Slightly more sarcastic and quick witted in person… online my brain has to think about it, by which time the conversation’s long moved on
If I wouldn’t say it in person I wouldn’t say it online.
I’d like to say I think here is as much of a reflection as who I am ‘for reals’ but perhaps best to ask that of people who’ve met me
 |

I am the same in person - although it’s easier once you’ve met someone in person as the written word can be taken so many different ways. Sarcasm or a joke can get lost here so a lot of the times I don’t go there.
I don’t take myself seriously and look to have fun as much as possible.
On here, I don’t get involved in anything too serious as it’s a site for connecting with fellow swingers or people who enjoy the lifestyle so to me, I’ll just pass posts that encourage divisions.

My profile is more or less who I am, the bad as well as the good. I add a "diary note" to it a couple of times a year, I never remove any of the older words. Likewise my photos, I add a few new ones once in a while, most of the older ones are still there, the dates on the photos are the dates they were taken. I never reload old pictures with new date.
It's not a self-flattering profile, but I hope it gives a reasonably true impression of who I am. |

Pretty much the same. I can be quite shy until I get to know someone, that seems to be the same on here too though. I’d also say I’m more witty in real life as my humour is more situational.
I also wear a lot more clothes. The vast majority of people I know haven’t seen me with my top off….let alone my bum….. still can’t believe my arse is on the internet. I’ll never have a career in politics. |

I think I perhaps come across better on the forums as I have time to collect my thoughts and write an appropriate response which you can't do in real life you're put on the spot.
I don't think I create a persona just for the forums as it's about the same in real life in that I probably came across as a bit nondescript to start with and once people became familiar with me, that's when more of my real personality started to come out. |
