Sometimes it's really, really obvious in an almost Carry On style. I don't really like that.
Most of the time I err on the side of caution until we've kissed and I think "oh maybe they're flirting with me". |

I was actually thinking this myself.
It’s very difficult to gauge here, in person it’s more straightforward as people generally don’t flirt without some level of intent but if you’re talking about the forum I’ve found that it’s mostly just people that respond to similar personalities and that doesn’t always equate to physical desire.
If you’re a fun flirty type poster around the lounge I’ll usually engage.
If we’re talking privately and still flirting then it’s pretty certain the desire is physical.

The only socially acceptable obvious flirting I'm confident in reading is arm touching. If I'm on a date or having a coffee with a woman and she starts reaching out and touching my arm I'll take that as an encouraging sign.
Other than that I have to idea how to read flirting and I've been told that in person I'm impossible to read. Could be ND brain or could be shyness. Probably both.
I've been jumped on enough times to know that I am missing signal's and not moving fast enough 😂 |

A woman at the gym tells me all sorts and is a bit touchy with me? But part of me thinks she just has no filter🤣 she's a great mate so wouldn't want to ruin that.

Definitely ND brain I think. I have to tell Mr when someone is interested in him....but he can sometimes see if someone is interested in me. I do find ND people don't give off any signals at all. And have to actually say it 🤣 |

I’m hopeless at flirting, I’ve had people ask me if I am, and usually I’m just being friendly.

They usually tell me upfront about their designs, at best. Otherwise it's the nuances in their messages that lead me to suspect, at worst.
Women are exemplary when it comes to admitting their 'poor' skills at flirting even though they excel at it without even knowing it. |

I don't. I am completely oblivious. It's been pointed out to me weeks/months after the fact. "You know she was flirting with you, right?" My response "was she?". I felt sorry for her because of my utter cluelessness. |

If they are flirting they rub themselves up & down you leg like a Fergie video (that's the pop star not the red faced & red nosed angry one that threw a tea cup & kicked a football boot at a player.)
Friends tend to be more matey. From a stranger view point it's a bit hit & miss. Depends if you regularly see them I suppose but it's not prescriptive...
If they do the virtual stirring the cauldron in front of you, then they're definitely taking the piss & trying to wind you up intentionally!!! Body posture I guess? Smiling face? Dunno after that....  |
