I know people who get a lot of value from it.
I also think that we risk becoming like our parents or grandparents, who similarly deride or derided things that are not intended for their demographic. |

I never understood when people say they get their news from TikTok because all I got was big bouncy bosoms no matter how much I scrolled. It was never ending!

Love it. Where else am I going to find people willing to lay down their lives for a jacket potato, a compilation of funny cat videos, an unhinged take on a normal interaction from someone I assume never goes outside PLUS a new recipe all within 2 mins |

I guess it’s just another cog in the escapist social media machine. Tictok, face book, twitter, snap chat, fab, the list goes on with platforms I’ve never heard of, you pays your money and takes your choice, so to speak.
All these platforms CAN be beneficial, people use them to promote their businesses etc but I feel for many they can be just very toxic. |

Speak as I find, it's just a bit of a laugh that passes time ...until the algorithms pick up on something that you watched once and you can end up down a rabbit hole ...went through a rough separation last year and tictok gave me nothing but clips with quotes about losing a love and narcissistic women for weeks. It's back to music and humour now thank god |

I try and keep social media to a minimum. I HAVE to have Instagram for work, and I am the generation that 'just has' Facebook.
The rest I avoid as it is far too easy to doom scroll hours of your life away. |
