So what's your current YouTube viewing guilty pleasure?
This month I've been watching lots of videos of various middle-aged Japanese men go about their day. Cooking/shopping/cleaning, stuff like that .
No idea why I'm finding it entertaining, it I am. |

"Don't think it really a gp but I'm in love with Marco Pierre Whites cooking videos, especially the ones where he promotes knorr stock cubes. The comments on these are hilarious too."
Those knorr recipe videos are hands down the best imo |

I sometimes end up in rabbit holes of people from other countries eating British snacks.
I also enjoy when people react to my favourite films. Must have seen dozens of people watch the Rocky films lol |

The recipes are excellent and very accessible. There's one where he makes a tortilla and burns both sides and he's like, so what 🤣 |

I don’t have feelings of guilt about anything I watch on you tube, I am ‘subscribed’ to the content of a chap that does engineering projects and gives very easy to follow layman’s tutorials. It’s not his profession but he’s had a lifetime of doing it so it’s very much experienced based and I’m into that. Apart from the fact you sometimes need a translator for his northern accent |

There's a channel on YouTube that I love hate-watching. It's a guy who follows the carnivore diet and makes and insane number of recipes using butter, eggs, and other various meats while telling us all how garbage other foods are while he's doing so well on that diet. He's an absolute melt 😂 |

I watched a couple of an American man eating British snacks. People sent him quite large parcels with this stuff in. I was a bit bemused by it all |

Combining those both a bit, I watch videos of Americans reacting to British football chants and how shocked they are by some of them |

Hello OP. Have you seen the film Perfect Days? I think you'd like it. It's a 2023 film about a middle-aged Japanese man, a toilet cleaner with a very structured mundane life, who nevertheless gets the most out of every day.
Sounds rubbish, but in fact it's wonderful. |

Vietnamese single mum doing dailtly chores, and toddler son keeps setting fire to the bamboo house.
Coopers Pub Liverpool live karoake, seen a few punchups, great to abysmal versions of karaoke favourites.
Dash cam craziness on the roads.
Rampaging Elephants in India, throwing humans around like ragdolls. |

Bill McClintock - best music mash-up channel I've seen.
Auto Shenanigans - road trips, history and humour.
Cambrian Chronicles - Welsh history. I have no connections to Wales, but find this stuff fascinating. |

It would have to be all the clips from Top Gear and the Grand Tour. Anyone with me on this?
A not so guilty pleasure are all the history videos by Mark Felton, which are absolutely astonishing sometimes! |

The “Jamaican chicken and rice and peas” one is a classic. Up there with Jamie Oliver’s jerk rice on the butchering of Caribbean food 🤣 |

I use it for gaming videos, sports replays and cooking recipes mainly.
As for guilty pleasures goes, I love a channel called grimreapers for the DCS naval and air battle simulations he does😂 completely not realistic for real world situations but it's just a real nerd fest lol |

Active Self Protection - I can't help but enjoy the 'chef's kiss' poetic justice of seeing a mugger car-jacker getting taken out by their intended vistim, often for good!
The ones where the whole shop or street give the perp an absolute almighty kicking are my faves. |

Pure Audits is hilarious. A video of his a couple of weeks ago with a police officer outside the station…. Asked if he could go up a ladder to look for birds on the roof. Then suggested a bike ride with him. Genius. |

I'm with HUGGYBEAR, no guilty pleasures I watch it because I enjoy it!
One of my most returned to videos is Carbon Based Lifeforms live set at Psy-Fi in 2017. There's so many stories that unfold in the crowd it's a joy to watch (and the comments backnit up!)... more importantly, if you like that sort of thing, the music is out of this world! |

Yep exactly that one. So very funny. Police chap was actually really nice (rarity) and when he said no thanks you can keep your bird bingo card, hilarious. Haha. |

Rick dior - there's a lots of drumming content on youtube like el estepario, drumeo etc, but I feel rik dior is the best teacher on there.
Kylo the doge- a channel about a dog (shiba inu) & his owner.
Manuel gardener-fernandes - phenomenal young guitar player.
Hbomberguy - for his painstakingly detailed political/ subculture video essays. |

I feel the Australian youtuber 'friendlyjordies' deserves a mention too.
He makes documentaries exposing political and corporate corruption, in a comedic way. ( he started out as a stand up comedian).
Not afraid to take the piss out of powerful people. Receives death threats a lot & already has had his home burned down. ( luckily he wasn't in at the time.)

I did like the auditors who visit the DWP, Prisions and police stations, back a fews years now as the police didn't realise these auditors posted to YouTube how interaction with the police can go so wrong, only Auditing Britian exists now.
Also cooking videos.
Car videos
Movie trailers.

Uncle Roger is brilliant!
I do enjoy the "first time seeing/listening" type videos. Best movie 'first time' is Lord of the Rings (with a shout to two middle aged burley American dudes reduced to tears by 'Braveheart'), and music's 'first time', I love watching people when they first find 'Ren' |

Well I never... There are the mainstream channels spending millions and millions on creating gameshows, sitcoms and soap operas and all the masses really wanted to see all along were people camping, people eating huge plates of food and a cow getting its hoof trimmed.
