I made a Mini Egg cheesecake recently and it was perfect. Good layer of fluffy, creamy, proper vanilla (you know, the black speckley stuff), eggs liberally crushed in to it. A biscuit base that wasn't weirdly thick and one layer of bland. Biscoff biscuits and cinnamon butter.
Really chuffed with that. Still.  |

Well I smashed a PB on a 3 mile run on Tuesday which made me happy.
I've been learning Arabic on and off for years. Little hobby of mine. Same with Mandarin and Spanish. Watched al-Arabiya on YouTube, an Arabic news channel and there was a segment I watched without subtitles and understood what the newsreader and interviewed people were talking about. Still a long way to go but I'm getting there. |

Less than 2 years after ACL and meniscus surgery on my knee, I ran a marathon 2 weeks ago. It was my first event post surgery, and I also took 31 mins off my PB marathon time.
Totally thrilled as there was a time that I feared I would never be able to run again.

My daughter has had this huge anxiety about driving for a while. Everyone was getting on my case, saying I need to put more pressure on her etc etc.
I was like no, I know my daughter, the encouragement is optimal. It's going to happen soon, I can feel it. Boom yesterday she's behind the wheel and driving us home; loving every minute of it. Big journey too, some gnarly country roads.
She asked why Audi drivers get up your arse, when you are going the speed limit and there are speed cameras. Saying that's one of the biggest anxieties she has about driving.
I asked if it's just Audi drivers, she said yeah pretty much, BMW drivers overtake, at least they are gone then.
Then she said. Fuck them they are dickheads, why should I let them stop me, when I am a good driver?
I'll take that as a 💯 moment. |
