It's kind of a beautiful story op, life affirming. Based on a non-horror Stephen king story...like Shawshank. |

I'll be honest... I've been so spoiled by modern day CGI, I can't bring myself to watch them. I've only just watched Jurassic Park for the first time recently 😅 |

I've not seen any of the pirates of the caribbean films.. but have been told I look like the character off it several times.

Watch the original 'fright night' Joe.
Another good 80s vampire film.
The remake with david tennant and colin farell is passable, but the original is great. |

I only saw it a couple of months ago when I was bedbound.
Considering it’s a screenplay from a Stephen King’s short story, it is quite underwhelming. But it’s that air of nostalgia that makes it good.  |

Alien is my favourite film. Because the xenomorph is a puppet and a lot of the film is practical effects, it looks soooo much better than the dodgy CGI of the 80s/90s and I think has aged quite well. And a lot of the time you don't even see the xeno as it travels around ducts in the the dark spaces, it's just pure tension and claustrophobia. And it had great subtext around class, gender and capitalism. And Ripley is just a BADASS lead. |
