The battlestar reboot is absolutely fantastic on so many levels. It's not just sci-fi, it covers multiple genres.
So say we all.

And babylon 5 was great. I think we're seeing the rise of the nightwatch now.

Massive Sci-fi nerd, all the usual big franchises
Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr Who
Did have a brief dabble with Magic: The Gathering in my uni days.
Don’t quite have imagination for full on D&D but enjoy several commercial table tops variants. Hero Quest, Space Quest, Talisman.
Slowly converting the rest of the family

Hey there
Table top wargames, 40k and Infinity
Used to play D&D but don't have much time left for it at the moment.
Boardgames every Thursday. I have a small collection but mates of mine have loads.
PC gaming.
And miniature painting for the joy of it. |

"I'd consider myself nerdy but around other self proclaimed nerds I honestly don't think I'd fit in."
That's the good thing about it. You are welcome no matter the level you think you're at and there's always a space for you to fit in. |

Life-long Tolkien fan. I started playing D&D with the old red box at uni in 1988, and progressed to 2nd Ed AD&D. I haven't played much in recent years, but that's more down to circumstance than lack of interest. I've DMed, written scenarios for cons and helped organise cons. I'm a lover of sci-fi and fantasy, boardgames and I enjoy University Challenge. 😝
And I married someone who enjoyed all that, and more besides.

Same. My 'nerdism' is more around my love of history. I got into PS gaming solely because of the history connection with AC Odyssey and Origins and Ghost of Tsushima.
Does that make me more of a geek than a nerd? |

Ghost of Tsushima is an amazing game! The sequel Ghost of Yotei is released in early October.
AC games are good for experiencing some history but it takes some liberties with a few things. You can learn a fair bit on thr codex entries of recent games |

Into warhammer 40k, just bought a mystery box full of very badly painted classic tyranids so slightly excited to strip them and repaint.
Star Wars and have a lot of older figures and vehicles. Love watching Stargate SG1, Babylon 5, battlestar old and new, Star Trek and obviously Star Wars. Old series space above and beyond was a guilty pleasure.
Into all things superhero Marvel and DC. Comics were always 2000AD, love rouge trooper, slaine, ABC warriors and Dredd. Also series called overkill. |

I've really got into the Echoes of History podcast where they actually discuss all the 'liberties' along with the accuracies, pulling in historians and game developers to the discussions. Incredibly well done! |

I also have an interested in paranormal activity but not sure if that qualifies. |

I'm a tabletop gamer and have been all my life which seems like since the hobby started. Keen enough to have just got back from the US and the Seven Years War convention (actually covers the whole 18th century up to 1789). Probably a multiple nerd as I also make model ships and have a model railway to keep me busy when not on Fab. |

Yep, wife is big gamer, currently playing BG3 and on her sixth play through.
I am obsessed with my classic car builds and kit car builds, spending days looking for a new old stock part from the 70s or 80s. |

"I might be a nerd. I'm currently watching a video on ”How to start a rocket engine”. Lol. lol just don't go and try making one in the shed then accidentally blowing yourself up haha x"
Sadly, that is exactly what happened to a boy who went to the same school as me. Back in the day when we were all playing around with sodium chlorate killer. It later got banned from sale.

Also really into reading any fantasy genre but favourites are Sir TP, and Tolkien.

I used to love Warhammer back in the day I thought it was expensive then. The prices of the models now are insane. Can't imagine what the rulebooks cost. Or the battle kits like the starter packs you could get. |

I certainly played more computer games 30 years ago than I do today.
Other nerd pursuits include movies and painting. |

I played DnD, read comics, started an Anime club at my school.
Video gaming is just probably the largest and most accessable form.
The first Playstation is 31 years old |

"How do you define nerdy ?
I feel like by asking the question you (and I) already qualify.
I have no interest in ball sports and I think beer is overrated.
Plus hobbies. "
We should absolutely be friends, as I feel exactly the same way! 😁
Love sci-fi and fantasy, especially a good space opera but BSG is too depressing and gets a bit silly towards the end. I enjoy warhammer but more the lore, love DND and you can usually find me playing an rpg on the PC when not lurking on fab!
We're also both trekkies and won't tolerate any shit talking about Janeway! 🤨😆
