In summer, walking across the teacher's training college rugby field as a shortcut to the municipal swimming pool. Everyone used to go there after school. There was almost always an ice cream seller outside, selling Eskimo Pies from a bicycle-mounted icebox full of dry ice.

Yes, Walls™ Funny Feet. It was pink - presumably strawberry flavoured - and not to be confused with Funny Face ice lolly which looked far from funny (macabre in fact). |
