I know it's probably not an easy answer, maybe a pic with someone holding a pint or a cocktail on a night out isn't too bad. Maybe cans on a table is

What's your thoughts

No, but I would personally tidy up to take pics.

It's a bit whisky.

Yes, definitely it would put me off. I would not meet anyone with alcohol in their picture. I would that as a sign alcohol is important to them and they may drink before a meet . Alcohol and sex with strangers don't mix..

I get what you mean, pics of them out with a beer or cocktail wouldn't.

Yes if their home had pics of bottles or cans dotted around.

It's all about the backdrop and juxtapositions I suppose. If the image depicts empty cans of lager strewn about the room it would make me think twice. However if it's a few cans of beer standing to attention with a view of the sunny estuary and blue sky in the background then I would think thrice.

Thankfully the women and sirens I meet don't drink beer/lager. Or if they do they certainly hide it well...those dipsomaniac wenches.

So having a background full of cheap discarded beer tins, empty vodka bottles, the odd syringe, crack pipes and half smoked doobies isn't a good look?

Alcohol doesn't bother me - but a lack of condom on that dick when either party have safe sex ticked is a definite turn off

Context is all...a social picture with a cocktail? Nice

Anything that looks like uncontrolled alcohol use...not for me

There are far more off putting things I've seen in photos though

couple, us we him her.

So if I were to take a picture in our beautiful lounge sitting on my leather armchair in front of the fireplace a bottle of £3000 Macallan Whiskey on show whilst sipping a wee dram from a very expensive crystal tumbler 🥃

That would put people off?

Or sitting on a beach at a very expensive resort drinking a cocktail?

Agreed. Context is key.

Yes, a huge no thank you to both of the ostentatious scenes you describe and also to the alco-pics the OP mentioned.

They're all unattractive and turn-offs to me.

I'm not sure a simple drink in a photo would put me off but if the vibe of the photo was that as person was a heavy drinker I'd probably assume we weren't a match.

I wouldn't be particularly critical of it. I just don't go to pubs and drink pints to socialise.

A glass of wine while they’re having a meal, a single cocktail, a tasteful evening whisky photo …. none of that would put me off. Especially one pic amongst many.

A table full of empty glasses, pitchers of cocktails, a stack of empty cans or pics of them clearly d*unk on a night out; would absolutely put me off

Note to self. Drink 1/3pt measures of DIPA or imperial stout from Teken glass if you ever meet Nero.

As others have said its all about context.

I'm more put off by smokers who have photos of cigarettes dangling from mouths. I meet smokers but it never looks very hygienic to me.

A photo that suggests alcohol plays a major part in someone's life would put me off, yes

Tonypandy.

I'm a craft beer nerd, so several of my pics show me appreciating a good IPA or imperial stout. It's going to put some people off, whilst be a common ground for others.

And yes, I probably do drink too much when I'm out and nervous.

That's a simple fact.

I've been teetotal all my life but I have nothing against others having a drink.

If I look at a profile and there is one picture with some form of alcoholic drink it wouldn't bother me.

If it's a theme throughout their gallery it's pretty obvious we wouldn't be compatible.

A holiday pic with a glass or bottle of drink, fair enough

A messy house with bottles and general mess on the table or around the room, definitely

I would sooner enjoy the company of a whiskey or two of an evening than many of the small minded people who judge others on what they see in the background of others photos
