I don't think I've ever been fetishised before. I've been with women who enjoy being with younger men but I always had the feeling that me being younger was more of a bonus to them liking me for me rather than solely because I was a younger guy. |

No
When I was big (like REALLY fat as opposed to chubby), I was the target for many a 'chaser'
They looked at my body shape and little else
I was encouraged to eat badly, wear clothes that showed rather than hid my frame and was paraded like a prize cow at chub / chaser events
I was rejected for not being big enough when I lost weight - people remarking / asking if I was ill
I was also excluded from established social groups when I did lose weight
Looking back it was deeply unhealthy (both physically and emotionally) and I am glad it is behind me |

"How would I know if I was being fetishized? "
Errmm, there's no clear cut way to know unfortunately, but you can tell. For example, when someone categorically says only "BBC", demands cock pics, but they've NEVER had any real interaction with black people, lives with a white partner, has only white friends, avoids a social meet too, yep, it's not always a good scene. LOL |

This sounds really sad, glad you're out of that space. Modern example is Lizzo, the musician, she's gotten some flak for losing weight. |

Thank you. Guess it’s most of the messages I get then.

"Race fetishisers are gross imo.
We exist to them as a stereotype, not as individual people "
But it's a positive stereotype so it must be fine! Back into your box and be grateful for the attention /s |

Transsexual Transylvania |
There are a lot of guys who fetishize trans people across the spectrum, from CDs to trans women.
They usually have predetermined ideas about what, not who, you are. These are the ones who immediately refer to themselves as daddy, you as baby girl/sissy/slut/[insert belittling epithet]. They have all sorts of weird ideas about what you like, what you'll do, how you'll respond...
Thrn there's the guys who want to worship you/be dommed by you/marry you... 🙄
Interacting as a fully TV profile here has certainly been an education.

It's an interesting subject.
I'm a maturer lady and wobbly so that's definitely a big attraction to some.
My preference is black men. However I never refer to them as BBC as it's derogatory and factually incorrect for many.
I don't see my preference as a fetish as it's not based on taboo or anything with negative or stereotypical connotations.
I just like men who are culturally different to me so I learn and grow from my relationships with them.
Ah if you're on a sex site there's probably always some element of fetish or kink.
You have the choice to really get to know people though and decide what works for you and what doesn't and how you like to be treated. |

I think there's a difference between willingly participating in your own fetishization, and getting fetishized for something you can't help or control, like ethnicity.
I've experienced both, and one certainly feels more irritating to me than the other |

I’m pretty normal looking so I don’t think I’m fetish material, I do teach a bit and wear a uniform so have been told that I have been a fantasy but I can keep those things private 90% of the time.

I find it gross.
People have approached me before (in a club) and their sexual interest in me stemmed from how 'exotic' I looked and I couldn't get away from them quick enough. I don't want to be a tick on your 'I fucked women from these different ethnicities' list. Go away.

Fetishism is not good, but Fab is a disaster area for it, as those who benefit from it usually promote it to the detriment of those who could fit the bill but want nothing to do with it. For example a lot of black guys go a very long way to promote their stereotype, like starting "black king" type threads (still going today). The whole "appreciation thread" genre promotes fetishism galore. |

I'm uncomfortable when I get the impression that I'm an accessory, rather than appreciated and wanted for being me. It's part of my filtering process, to find people who really want to know me better |

Does getting messages along the lines of 'milf' and 'cougar' count?
I hate those stereotypes. I don't be interested in anyone still needing a mum, or age play, or guys more than just a few years younger than I am. It makes me feel all kinds of wrong.

This is me too. Nothing makes me hit the block button faster than someone telling me that they love the older woman. They either want me to mother them or teach them a thing or too....no, I don't want to teach anyone anything, I want an equal and no I'm not your Mother
Last guy who asked if I could role play bring their Mother I said 'yeah, now fuck off before I tell your Father' |

I get fetishised a fair bit as a fat girl and I really don't like it. It's one thing to have preferences and be attracted to people's attributes, but when they don't even see you as a person, just a body type (or whatever their fetish is) it's just grim. I'm a whole, complete person. If you aren't interested in me beyond my body shape then sorry, you ain't passing the vibe check. |

I get pissy at the age fetish ... messages asking if I'm into younger guys who are 48 to my 50. I don't judge a guy by their age and don't expect a man to judge me for mine.
Age is just a number ... immaturity can be ever lasting 🙄 |

'Black king'? Well that's an improvement on the ones who like to call themselves 'donkey', 'horse', 'bull' etc. Can only feel sorry for these guys. -) |

There is a difference between being fetishised and having a preference. At least I see it that way.
I’m a big girl, meeting people who are attracted to bigger body types is one thing but being reduced to only wanting to meet me because of that single characteristic is fetishising.

"Do you enjoy being fetishized? Obviously, I get the BBC references often, sometimes it's nice, but it can come off as very weird and uncomfortable on other days. "
Fetishise them back! 🤨
This is about carnality. Not dignity & personhood 😜 |
