Yup. "If you can't be honest you can't be nowt" was the mantra when I was growing up. I don't exactly detail my exploits unprovoked to family, but when a conversation has relevant context or a direct question is asked I don't have anything to hide.
I don't think I was ever perceived as normal enough to worry about coming out, this is just how I've always been 💜 |

I don’t think my mother would even listen to someone try to explain it to her. My children would avoid.
The person closer to me than my own mother? Would probably think the bisexuality thing is a sin. Same with the non monogamy. It would break my heart if she were ever disappointed in me. |

I don’t think the would be surprised lol, if it became a problem for the kids I would leave but do people stay once the find the right connection or connections ? Or have they moved on to more convenient ways to communicate anyway? |

I love this! I'd love to have that relationship with my family.
My mam would be mortified. She already believes I should be chained to the kitchen sink and not have a life. My step-dad would agree with her for the sake of not being able to think for himself or disagree with her.
My dad and step-mam would be shocked but they're very open-minded.
Mr's mam wouldn't understand it, but I can see her being very opinionated. |

My sister knows and says as long as I'm safe she hopes I'm having a great time.
If I even tried to tell my parents I doubt they'd understand, assuming they heard me in the first place.
No kids in my life, and the friends that matter to me either know and have no issues with it - and many are actually envious - or I've met through the lifestyle anyway. |

I've never asked any family about there's and have no need or knte tion to ever discuss mine with them either.
I live alone. I don't have to be accountable to anyone and have no kids.
What I do is my business and aside from my partners and friends in the scene I don't see the need to talk about it to anyone else. Why would I? 🤔 |

My mom's knows of my Fill Every Tuesday hobbie  , and I think she would be okay of this one my MIL would be excited to know everything as we are living in her favourite books , but she will be worry afterall as they are very much into the, what would people think.

They knew that my first wife and I had a girlfriend (she joined us on our honeymoon) so they wouldn't be surprised.
When I became an adult, my life became mine to live how I choose - I think I choose well - that's all that matters.
N isn't bothered by anyone's opinions at all, her mother knows, her brother wouldn't like it, but she would rather lose her brother than lose her liberty, we don't allow controlling people in our lives. |

I told my sister years ago, before we got married but I don't know if she still knows it's happening as we never talk about it. It's her hen party in a couple of months so it may come up then although I'm planning on staying sober enough to behave in front of her friends.
I don't think I could ever tell my mum, she wouldn't understand and I'm sure she would be disgusted.
My 19 year old son knows, we've always had an honest relationship so I couldn't keep part of my life from him. I told him when it was appropriate and he just said you do you as long as everyone is consenting. I hope to have the same relationship with my younger 2 but they are not at appropriate age yet but I hope they will react the same way.
My adult step kids have all known for years now. It was a hot topic of conversation for a while but it died down. They've either forgotten or don't care.
My cousin had a very negative reaction when I told her. Said some pretty hurtful things. But then asked questions and tried to understand. She sees how strong my husband and I are and is supportive.
I have 2 best friends who know, one wants details and the other ignores it. I was afraid I would lose the one who ignores it but I decided a long time ago that I cannot have people I love only knowing part of me. I won't hide any more. Thankfully I mean as much to her as she does to me and although it's something she doesn't understand or agree with I've been able to be honest with her and I respect her beliefs enough not to talk about it in front of her.
All in all telling those closest to me has been a positive experience, they are either supportive or just don't care. And I don't have to wotty about being seen, or anyone trying to out me. |
