Is having a sense of humour a major deal for you?
Jump to: Newest in thread
I think a sense of humour is probably the thing I'm most attracted to. I have a tendency to go serious and deep and I think I need people around me who dig me out of that. And the easiest way to do that is to make me laugh. |

It most certainly is. It's the cornerstone of conviviality and the most wonderful opening gambit when getting to know someone. I think it takes conversations to a next level where you can really engage and learn more about that person. I personally can't manage a form of communication where everything is too forthright and serious, lacking depth and substance. Humour fills that void. |

I need to be around people who have a sense of humour. I’m rarely serious and just let the banter and jokes fly and if I’m not getting any of it reciprocated it sucks and I struggle to maintain the conversation/friendship |

Yep.
A good test is a game of CaH. If they're not at all funny it's obvious. If they think my sense of humour is too dark were equally not compatible.
Humour is subjective of course, but I've always found it best to be on the same level with someone.
Being the only funny one in a couple is too much like hard work. 🤷♂️ |

"I think for me it is, I love people who are as daft as me and who I can have a laugh with.
Anyone feel the same?"
Yes, along with thick skin If we can't rip shreds out of eachother whilst ripping each other's clothes off.. what's the point? The main reason I avoid those that are easily offended |

Everyone has a sense of humour.
I like people who have a compatible/similar sense of humour, it's easier to understand and relax around them. I'm pretty poor at faux laughing to humour people/as a way of flirting. |

Sense of humour is important.
Women always say it’s important but I’ve never been able to get anyone’s knickers off by making them laugh. Though no doubt they’d laugh when I got my clothes off |

Having a similar sense of humour or one that I can appreciate is fairly important. If neither of us gets the others idea of humour it could get awkward. I really dislike practical jokes for instance so would be unlikely to click with someone who did.
I think it's rare to have no sense of humour at all. |

I would add that if you expect a laugh a minute when you're with me you'll be disappointed. I don't want to attend a one person comedy gig or provide one. Original wit, wry observations and good conversation will do for me |

"so don't come in a funny hat wearing your clown shoes.
No kink shaming please."
Now everyone knows about your clown shoes.
^ He always liked to come in Boots until the manager had him thrown out..... Boom! |
