I've always wondered why some deodorants are advertised as lasting for 48 hours.

I mean who doesn't shower for that long? 😮🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂😂

My friend proudly told me she only showers once a week... Because she doesn't sweat

I wonder if she's related to Prince Andrew 🤔🤔😆😆😆😆

If you don't wash... I guess disguising it with another smell might be needed.... Or not.

No, they can't wash, as their antiperspirant will get washed off and they won't smell fresh

That would be an antiperspirant not a deodorant... deodorant only smells..

It was the character in gold finger who died not the actress. She was painted with make up containing gold particles. It's a myth that the actress died

Agreed.

It's only within living memory that we've all had access to bathrooms.

It's an ad mans dream really and to continue the fantasy we have to be persuaded that we smell repulsive.

Well when I get home from work I usually smell sweaty from hard manual labour working outside and inside, driving all makes one sweat.

People who turn their noses up at this are snobs and frankly I find it insulting, I don't have access to shower facilities every part of the day.

I take a spare t shirt this time of year and change after lunch spray some lynx.

But it's a natural bodily function that we have zero control over.

If someone is intentionally dirty and smelly that's very different however.

Guess it's not much different to body sprays and they've been around for yonks.

But generally agree, clever marketing will induce the paranoia in people. Same with scent boosters so people walk around smelling like washing powder. People want to mask their smell, when attraction is based on pheromones, makes no sense to me whatsoever.

When fabric conditioner first became a thing lots of people couldn't understand why anyone would use it. Now I don't know anyone who doesn't. As you say, we now have the addition of scent boosters. What will they come up with next in order to part us with our money?

We live in a strange world, on one side we want to douce ourselves in chemicals because God forbid we smell like humans. And on the other we worry about carcinogens in our food and needing to eat clean 🤷🏻‍♀️

The smell of sweat mixed with deodorant is vile. Gluing your armpits with antiperspirant is also gross.

I stopped using deodorant and antiperspirant a long time ago but I do use body sprays, I like to smell nice particularly on dates

Niche

I know ingredients in things are different now but there is evidence being gathered on the links between these products and lymph system diseases. The underarms, etc are two-way to a certain extent. It does worry me on a certain level so I be careful which products I buy and use.

I tried going chemical free but it only was feasible when I was on maternity leave. I could wash through the day if I felt I needed to. It's not really possible or practical in busy working/living days.

I love fresh sweat. It's very arousing, all those pheromones 🥵😈 Big difference, huge difference, to stale b.o. which makes me heave.

The 48hr/72hr labelling I think maybe gives people the impression they don't need to wash. They have the 'Why would this exist if we're meant to shower every day?' argument. People don't all have good role models growing up. They do what they see.

What's wrong with just wearing normal deodorant? nobody should be spraying anything chemical on or anywhere near thier nether regions anyway.

I do a smelly job, and work out in thr gym 4/5 times a week, so I have to shower twice a day anyway (I don't wash my hair twice a day tho, I draw the line there!) But wear 72 hr deodorant, because I find it's better than thr bog standard stuff.especially when I'm working hard, or in the gym.
