The best thing about where you live?

It's easy to leave!
Actually, let me re-phrase that. I can get a train directly to London, the South Coast, the South West, the Midlands and the North West. I am well placed for access to the M3/A303, M4 (and therefore M5) and M25. So my connections are great, and means that although the town itself is pretty dull, I can get many places for live music, theatre, exhibitions etc pretty easily. |

Location. A few minutes walk to a train station bus stop at the bottom of my street, a few minutes drive to rivers, lakes and woods, 20 minutes into the city an hour to the Peak District It’s just perfect location for me |

"The rural 🌳 urban 🏘️ balance is pretty much perfect 👌"
Same
I am so grateful that I can just walk for miles in the countryside which is on my doorstep 😍
And the nearest town is not too far away that it's an issue to get to |

"What's the best or favourite thing about your choice of residence; not the actual house or flat but the area?"
It's a nice house in a nice area and we hardly have to speak to the neighbours, bliss 😁 |

Location; immediately there is a lot of green spaces so nice places to get out and about, good places to eat and easy access to the city centre and more rural. Easy drive to the peaks or the Lake District. |

Not a massive amount, 10 minute drive and it's nice countryside, 10 minutes the other way and I'm the town centre
Not as nice here as it used to be, but I think the same could be said for most places |

"Surrounded by greenery and have deer in the garden and badger sets can be seen through the fence into the forest. So this plus it's a quick train ride into the city when I fancy that.
"
But the Purley Way! |

Location: Close to several major towns and cities. With a 10 minute walk to the railway station. Though unless I'm going to either Brum or Coventry. Wouldn't use either rail or buses, as too dear.
Good selection of shops, pubs, restaraunts and takeaways.
Location in London: 1 hour return to work. (Used to be 20 mins.) Good for food shopping and the local Spoons is cheap and cheerful. |

I live right beside a country park which is great for my dogs. Great transport links too into Glasgow and Edinburgh. Plenty lovely countryside round about and only an hours drive to the sea. Also need to mention Motherwell FC which is a pretty decent football team in the SPL. |

Literally hundreds of great bars, cafes and restaurants within walking distance - and can find pretty much any cuisine you'd want within that!
Some lovely parks and green spaces nearby. Amazing local cinema and bakery. I like it. |

Lots of parks, scenic walks, a few rivers, a small friendly community, lots of pubs, my allotment, good educational facilities, free parking, mountains. There's quite a lot to be thankful for around these 'ere parts. |

Location, being on the Borders and surrounded by small towns, villages and farms I am literally minutes away from remote mountains and countryside.
An hour away from the beach with Liverpool, Birmingham and Manchester all just over an hours drive... |

Paper Town Central, Essex. |
Quiet at night. Plenty to do during the day. Close enough to the big smoke by train or road but still only ten minutes to get into the gorgeous Essex countryside. Close enough to the seaside and generally nice people around.
For a town with a dubious reputation, I very rarely hear any sirens. Basically, it's got everything I can ever want. |

Obviously it's me.
Closely following me are the green parks , the coast line and it's beaches and forests, it's close proximity to beautiful Lancashire of which we once were a part. The motorway links that mean I can be in Cumbria in just over an hour or London in 4 + . I enjoy the culture here too, Museums, Art Galleries ,night clubs, dining , pubs , theatres , street culture and one of the best things is how cosmopolitan we've become over the last couple of decades. |

The river.
The old stone buildings.
The fact you drive through countryside to get home, and not a concrete jungle.
Lived here 10 years, never been a stabbing.
The quiet.
The peace.
The safety.
The schools are amazing.
Absolute banging buttie shop. |
