The spring sap is rising . Which of your plants most needs to be repotted?
I've done my Salvia Amistad today, just before its first flower opens. Deep dark purple flowers and a magnet for insects . It's roots were tightly squeezed, it was that potbound. . Some plants respond well to a little stress but I generally try to avoid it for my plant family. |

"My moneyplant, I can’t believe I’ve kept it alive so long "
Some plants can be very forgiving - or giving, despite how little we give them
The rewards can be huge when we give them just a little bit more root space.
I can't believe that so few of us don't have w plant that's too tightly squeezed in its pot and should be given a little freedom |

New root space and growth could potentially awaken them above ground. A former neighbour has one in the same cramped pot for 6 or 7 years, possibly longer - it was weak and almost lifeless. I visited them a couple of weeks ago, they'd repotted and it's now raced away with fierce zest. You might be amazed |

Repoted 3 of my Laurel cuttings, taken from my big Laurel bush a couple of years ago.
Got 12 on the go atm, 9 I plan to sell. Very hardy, love fish tank water. Produce berries but can't be consumed by human.
Great for creating hedges, grow fast.
Hope to get more on the go this year.
Got some potatoes in a biggish pot atm might try a Repot, not sure.
Got some papaya seeds in a pot indoors, first go at them.

"My Moroccan mint and basil need bigger pots. Bay and Rosemary are big girls now and need putting in garden.
One of my miniature ferns didn't make the winter, so needs replacing."
Rosemary often seems to become much healthier/stronger looking, when in the soil, not potted. |

I grow bonsai trees and they have been in the same pots for 2 years now since I've been too busy.
I had 16 but 2 died.
They are oak, pines and birches etc from outside... I've had them for 10 years |

I guess you're trimming the emergent roots off? You have way more bonsai experience than I have! |

I'm behind too, like a few of you. A flowering tobacco plant seeded itself into a potted flowering ginger. For weeks I've looked at it, planning to give m separate living accommodation. The tobacco plant is now about 4' tall, with its flowers about to open
And I supposedly think it's right to pull it out . My gardener did break a greenhouse window and hasn't fixed it, making access harder, in my defense
I've been looking at this tobacco plant since around Christmas time and, to my shame, didn't do it whilst it was resting |
