A fellow student and uni lecturer had a discussion about me (when I wasn't there). I'm told they were discussing my MSc distinction result.
Apparently the lecturer said "you wouldn't expect that if you meet her would you?"
Not the greatest of compliments but my favourite.

The guy part of a couple was sexting me compliments today ....so I had a look at the profile and his wife was lovely , so I said why are you looking for a hamburger when you have steak at home ....and he said " yeah it's just every now and then I fancy a McDonalds ......not an answer to the question ...but it happened today and made me giggle ....what a charmer x |

Can’t think of the best but one of my favourites was when I was in sorting my phone contract and the lovely lass was shocked by how tanned I was without going on holiday or sun beds and she said “i can’t get that dark and I’m supposed to be that colour”(she was black if it’s not already obvious)
Without sounding like an arrogant prick being in the shape I’m in while being in 40s I do get a lot of compliments on body both from men and women very often so they sort of loose their novelty after a while |

I'll add mine... once in a gym working out with headphones I saw a lady keep glancing over at me whilst with her trainer, later I saw her point towards me, so I took my headphones off and she said 'oh don't worry love it was just telling him I want arms like yours' 🫠
She didn't know that I had battled social anxiety to get there, was only 12 weeks in to weightlifting, and she'd been the first to encourage me.
My other favourite compliment was "in the chaos I come to you for the calm"

I took my mini me to soft play recently. Another child's nana came over to say I was a brilliant mum and had a lovely way with her.
It caught me off guard because I didn't feel I'd done anything spectacularly wonderful. It was almost like she knew my mum has been constantly putting me down for being a "shit mum" I nearly cried   |

I've had a few along the lines of saying I was wise beyond my years which is always appreciated. Someone also said I was the nicest guy they'd ever met which (knowing the context it was said in) meant quite a lot to me. |

I know a number of semi-professional and professional musicians. As someone who has only sings, mostly around camp fires and the odd folk night. The fact they view me as an equal is both deeply flattering and never ceases to amaze/confuse me.

Had a bad day so went on Facebook to ask friends for a bit of support and things they thought I was good at. A number of exes who I still have as friends and swinging friends who are now actual friends commented *REDACTED*.
Which both made me blush and grin.

I know this is quite morbid but as someone with has had to consider my morbidity due to illness, I saw a film where the mum had a party to have her eulogy(s) when she was alive to hear all the lovely memories people had of her & her good qualities.
I thought it was such a lovely thing to do, I'm going to do this. |
