Do you like your arias? What are your favourites. Any of the ones below or perhaps something else?

Mozart: Idomeneo “Idol Mio, Se Ritroso Altro Amante- Odo Da Lunge Armonioso Suono”

Mozart: Don Giovanni “Vedrai, Carino”

Purcell: The Fairy Queen “Now the night is chad’s away”

And many others.

I’m a huge fan of all of Vivaldi’s arias but then I am a huge fan of pretty much everything he did.

Being a violinist his music “sings” to me.

My other favourite is Handel’s Messiah and the arias through that are incredibly deep and thought provoking ♥️

Nothing really high brow about opera and arias and classical music I don't think. It is just that sometimes not everyone had an opportunity to listen to it. Then again my music taste is so varied I could fill an entire HMV shop from Black Sabbath to Kylie and the 3 tennors

Great to see another Handel enthusiast. His operas have always been my favourites although I'm beginning to appreciate French baroque opera nearly as much.
