I’m a driver…I’d be interested in your opinion on us all
We’re individuals same as everyone else looking for fun
We’re taking a big chance meeting people from on here due to the worry of security, theft, blkmle or a host of other stuff
We work long hours away from home and enjoy some fun like anyone else
Some of us are tidy, clean, well mannered, respectful honest and hygiene conscious and very picky as to who we meet or allow in to our trucks
Others of course aren’t.
But so tired of lies and time wasters
We generally work long hours and up very early so when people waste our time with 3 hours of messages then don’t show it’s a bit annoying to say the least…

It's laughable that someone should ask what people think of 'truck drivers' as if they are somehow different to others.
My take is this - Would I refuse to meet someone because they are a truck driver NO.
Would I venture out to a truck lay by, side street or dock road for sex in a truck....... NO.

I've had sex with truckers years ago in my youth and I used to be a hitch hiker so caught a few lifts from truckies too. Never had any issues. Wouldn't do it now largely due to everywhere having cameras. I can imagine they have them in cabs too |

Have to say that truck drivers do have a point a lack of facilities in this country for them is a huge problem But they certainly don’t work the hours I do as they legally can’t |

Its been 25 years since I've been in a truck and it was in the USA where they dive some seriously long distances but most had beds, TV, microwave. Not too shabby at all. |

I've never viewed anyone any differently based on their job.
Many people in all manner of careers work long hours. Anyone that doesn't work from home works away from home.
Everyone who meets at home or in a hotel faces the same worries when meeting strangers.
And yes, everyone is an individual.
I can't think of any reason why one job should be viewed any differently from another myself. I'm sure those who don't mind car meets and outdoor activities such as dogging may be more interested, but I'd think many women would view meeting someone somewhere that wasn't a fixed address would be riskier than a home or hotel when it comes to personal safety. 🤷♂️ |

Lack of facilities ? No. They can use ALL the facilities that other people who travel for a living or to do a job use.

Lack of facilities ? No. They can use ALL the facilities that other people who travel for a living or to do a job use.
They just don't. "
I know stinky drivers, I know drivers that smell wonderful.
In the same way that I know stinky people that don't drive and wonderful smelling non drivers.
There are a handful of services in the UK that are actually any good for lorry drivers. In Some spaces are too tight, toilets don't work, showers don't work, bands of thieves slashing curtains or stealing diesel potentially gassing your cab to knock you out.
As to using all the facilities.....not always. Some services don't allow lorries. Sometimes parking just isn't available at a particular site. Often when you've finished your shift the only things available to eat are from the vending machine.
Services for car drivers driving typically between 0800-1900 are fine 90% of the time.
But it's simply not the case for the truck drivers. |

How do you come to the view I’m thinking I’m a special case?
I’ve outlined a general opinion, stated how I am and said not everyone might be the same for many reasons
Why are you wanting to create an issue where one doesn’t exist?
Though I totally agree with you as to why would a truck driver be any different, however we are only reading the words not the thinking behind what the original poster was thinking, eg is it safe for the person, the trucker is passing through and may never again, is stranger
Sex fun or are they bothered about not knowing anything at all about the person etc
but in any case a question was raised for whatever reason and I answered based on my own understanding of the question 🤷♂️ |

I know loads of truck drivers, I encounter them every day and have some really lovely friends who are truck drivers both male and female.
Facilities in the uk for truck drivers are pants, I'll agree with that point from this thread.
Someone's occupation doesn't really have any bearing on wether or not I'd chose to play with them (some people find what I do a little odd) but,
Would i be venturing into a lay-by, service station, truckstop for a quick fumble in a wagon? No, I wouldn't, that's just my preference is all..... if there was a hotel meet on the cards and they met all my other preferences etc, then yeah absolutely. |

Like anyone else if they were not resectful and clean then I would make excuses and leave.
Cams can be a issue but they are not live in the cab with the ignition off.
