Just been to the chinese to pick up tea.

It took me 20 minutes to decide on chinese.

It took me the drive to not decide what I want.

Then when I got here I panic ordered because I was next in the queue.

I've never had this dish before.

And I won't do a single thing about it if I don't like it.

In short, I'm a shithouse.

Do you research a menu before you go out? Do you always have the same dish(es)? Are you a maverick and you try new things? If you try something new what do you do if you don't like it?

Also, what's your go to chinese so I can steal your order for next time?

Peace and love 🫶🏽

I’m on tenterhooks, I’m boring and usually have sweet and sour chicken balls with mixed starters

I ordered Chopstix the other day. I've had it from two different locations to the one it came from a enjoyed it every time.

This time it tastes awful; like they hadn't changed the oil in months, and the noodles were bone dry.

I usually get the same things when I order from a local independent restaurant.

Somewhere near here

I always research a restaurant, decide what I’m going to have, always something different.

Get to the restaurant and you can guarantee I’ll order a chicken tikka

Ahh my pizza order never changes but the chinese was closer. In hindsight pizza would have been a good shout

"What did you order tho???"

Kung Pao Beef - The first thing I saw that had one of those spice chillies next to it.

With a side of egg fried rice and a side of chips because she asked which one and I just said yes 😂

Hong yu spicy mandarin stuff is my go to from my usual Chinese place.

I'll quote often just go for the weirdest thing on the menu if it's somewhere I don't know though 💜

Oh Nanna, I feel you on this. I've had great chopstix before. Had it at Warwick services (if I remember rightly) this week and it was not a patch 😔

Always the same in a chinese. Not worth the risk being adventurous 😂😂😂

That and pizza is pretty much the only takeaways we get. Don’t like Indian food and not much else around our area.

I always research menus and tend to order the same thing all the time.

My go to order is beef in black bean sauce with crispy noodles and salt and chilli chicken had it every Saturday for as long as I can remember,. If I have to go to another Chinese I do look at the menu and make sure I know what I’m getting before I go, I always get something completely different when I go to different Chinese as know it won’t be as good ha

What's the weirdest thing you've ever had? Have you ever not liked something new and what did you do? I am in awe of your courage 🧡

I can go with an idea of what I'm ordering then the odd occasion I get there look at the menu change my mind then get home realising I've ordered enough for a meal the next day.

If it's something I haven't had before I'll finish it an my not order it again.

Hot and Sour Soup or variation with sliced beef

Simple chow mein or fried rice - if they get those wrong don't go back.

Schezuan chicken/beef/prawns

Yellow bean sauce with chicken/beef

Steamed rice

Spring rolls

Chinese = chicken curry, fried rice, chips

Indian = chicken Rogan Josh, chips, mixed starter.

Pizza = pepperoni

I stick with what I know, it keeps it nice and simple 😊

I always get the same few things from takeaways as if I am spending that much on so many calories, I want to know I will like it!

Chinese is chicken foo yung or sweet and sour pork with fried rice.

I always check the menu before I go anywhere. If it's a place I go to regularly, I tend to stick to the same dish. I do like trying out new things, if I don't like it just gotta take L and move on

Too many things to individually reply to so talk amongst yourselves now 😂 but thanks for the comments!

If you named something, I will be having it at some point in the future. If you try new stuff you are the person I wish I was. And if you stick to staple favourites you've shown me what I need to do in the future 🫶🏽

NB. Kung Pao Beef - 8 out of 10. Sweet, slow burn of spice, will be finished.
