What is your favourite coffee?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Jamaican blue mountain is my favourite but it’s far too expensive and I drink about 4 cups a day. I really like Colombian medium roast as my everyday, brand isn’t really too important as I find most are pretty similar |

People get so pretentious about Coffee.
What’s that vastly overpriced Indonesian one that comes from cat (sorry, Palm Civet) sh*t? Kopi Luwak?
Was in Dar El Bacha in Marrakech earlier this year & they wanted 1,275 dirham (£104) for a pot of Paraiso Gold.
Hahaha. Feck off.
I rest my case.

Actually just on my way to costa now, could be either Mocha, Latte, or Cappuccino,... Never that fussy which one, just enjoy having a cuppa and people watching for half an hour |

When I'm out, I like a flat white.
At home, I'll grind my own coffee beans and brew it using a v60 which I love the routine of. I like mixing the beans I have up but my favourite is probably a good washed Kenyan or Ethiopian coffee 😁 |

"I like my coffee and I have 3 cups a day and my favourite one is lavazza. I use the aero press to make it "
I used to favour lavazza but they appear on Palestine boycott and divestment lists so I’m done with em. |

"If I'm grinding the beans and using a cafetière I love a Yirgacheffe.
If we're using capsules we get them from an independent company and they're pretty good too.
" Hi nicecouple, that is good you also are grinding the beans and using capsules too. I also love a yirgacheffe as well |

I get my beans from a local roaster. I prefer the nutty/chocolatey/caramel notes, a medium roast south American is mybusual go to. They do a lovely high grown Guatemalan. |

Thus is pretty much the same for me, though the coffee I currently have is Rwandan |

"I never used to be a fan of iced coffee but I recently used my Aeropress to make a sort of iced flat white at home was pretty tasty 😋
Is the aero press worthwhile?"
It's not my go-to, but it's probably the most "forgiving" brewer which basically means that there are a hundred recipes out there but it'll give you good coffee pretty much all the time. Like, you seriously have to mess something up to get a bad brew out of it and I think that's why it's so popular! |

It’s definitely worth it, if only for the convenience alone! If you like a long black style of coffee then it’s perfect for you. Easy, compact, almost impossible to break; I always pack mine when I’m travelling 😊 |

Hope you buy one! A French press is also very forgiving and like an Aeropress is more of an immersion style brewer but you get a "cleaner" coffee as you're pressing it through a paper filter. Let me know how you get on! |

I love lattes, cappuccinos. Got to be good quality fresh though, I can't drink instant coffee, it gives me stomach ache
I do love fresh coffee and buy beans online from a place called Artisan Roast in Edinburgh, usually their Trigonometry and Janszoon blends |

"Don't mind tea but our bean to cup lattes are the best. Instant coffee is just revolting but the Mrs likes it."
Getting a bean to cup machine was a game changer in terms of home coffee quality for me. |

Prefer a separate burr grinder and small sage machine, more versatile for cafeterrre , aeropress etc |

I'm extremely lazy, I like to push a button that says Americano and it do it all for me. But, when I was looking into it before buying everyone said that you can get a bit better quality with a little effort. |

Whatever it is that they spoon out of a tin at Eureka and then add hot water from the urn.
Black with two sugars in a workman's sized cup and I then put it in the car to get cold.
I can stand the hassle, or the taste, of anything which involves lots of banging and hissing, drawn out time and showmanship to make.
I find the taste of the stuff in the place where all the students go to sit, with their laptops and bottled water, particularly grim and far too strong.
Instant every time, but not all taste good.
On the iced front, I like Aldi's offerings. Especially the price.
