Everyone’s got a friend called Dave
Jump to: Newest in thread
I used to work with a really great bloke called Dave, we became really close friends and chatted on phone most of the day about everything, general day to day stuff but also some more deeper topics especially about his mum who was being destroyed and eventually taken by dementia, we laughed on the phone and cried on the phone (never to each others faces) ,he left to work for another company and went into an office and unfortunately the calls dwindled untill the fizzled out completely, I'm not upset about it but I do miss my hours of endless chat with him.
That's my story about my mate Dave |

"my neighbour is David. refuses to be called Dave. Should tell you everything you need to know about him."
This seems a bit unfair. Just because someone doesn't like their name being shortened. I used to work with a Thomas who wanted just to be Thomas. I made sure my daughter's name COULDN'T be naturally shortened. |

maybe unfair to other Daves and I respect anyone's name and how they want to be called but in my experience a Dave is a bloke you can get on with, my neighbour is a nimby who complains about everything if its not to his satisfaction, regardless of the impact to him. |
