They're ok. I'm a mind fragmented mess, luckily I've got tonnes of spare polyfilla.

Hi OP. How are you doing?
Bit of an existential crisis going on here this evening, having had my parents thrust LPAs at me today, which I then was asked to sign to be an Attorney, and organise witnesses for their Wills.
A very sobering prospect and makes one ponder the imponderable. |

Hi EA
I’m sorry. That must’ve been weird and horrible. Not easy to just put out of your mind.
You seem like a positive person- hope you can find that positivity |

Sounds like you have very sensible, forward thinking parents.
Well done mum and dad, saves you having to bring up what can be a touchy, upsetting subject.

"Hello Pickle. I've had 4 very good weeks after 2 months of being in quite a dark place. N? Or W?
Either way- hope you’re good. "
Sorry, N.
Yeah, I am thanks. The dark place will always be there in the background and I made peace with that a long time ago. I've got a good set of tools to get myself out of it these days. |

Terrible. Agoraphobic which I don't really understand since I'm fine with going to work. Most of the time I can't physically leave the house, I get to door but can not open it. Trying and failing makes me feel worse about it and makes it harder. All I get told is to go see someone about it. Great advice |

I cam off mine 2 years ago now I was on them for 5 years after the loss of my mum.
Since being off them I haven't been depressed just have low days or I'll have a shirt period of low mood but would call that depression.
I hope it works out for you
Biggest change for me was my feelings coming back it felt so good and still does |

Thank you. I've experienced more feelings on antidepressants than off, but I was so severely depressed that... The short version is that I was told I'd be dead in a ditch by 25, and my parents nearly lost custody of me. That kind of bad.
Life is a lot better than it was then, though, so, who knows.
Also, this year marks my 40th ride round the sun, and I've laughed at that psychiatrist every birthday since 25. |

With tour life a lot different now that should change things I really wish you all the best and hope that you won't need them ever again.
Can't comment on psychiatrists I haven't seen one I have often thought about having counselling though maybe one day I will do it. I have good friends and family to talk to so I am very lucky |

Ive got my appointment with my psychiatrist next month. Ive been seeing one since I waa 18 im 60 now. I first suffered from depression when I was 13 but they thought it waa pubescent years. I was diagnosed with manic depression (as it waa called back then now bipolar) So I have bi polar, depression and anxiety. I usually leave the house about once every 6 weeks but have left more the lastvl couple of weeks. Haven't left the house on my own for over 3 years. I just take each day as it comes |

This year started badly and I'm still recovering haha. I'll be alright it is just taking it's time. I sustained a nasty injury back in February and I still cannot drive due to some muscles not working correctly in my shoulder and arm.
It's healing but not there yet and I'm feeling stifled and quite isolated not being able to jump in a car and go where I want.
Public transport isn't always an option and it's a ballache in general. |

Brutally honest, I struggle.....and fab doesn't always help.
I totally understand why its hard as man to get a reply,I see the messages and abuse my wife gets.....its ridiculous.
But its so hard when your partner gets lots of attention and you get non.
Its such a feeling of being unattractive or not desired.
The forum is fun though.

Appreciate your reply.
We do talk about it...any its fine, just annoying.
The couples profile is where our journey began.....people think its easier, but it really isn't.
Finding 4 people that click and are attracted to each other is really difficult. |

A couple of months ago I was not good, not in a very good place, lost and very low. Right now I'm so much better and feeling bloody good. It took a good friend to do something incredible for me which made me see hope again. I'm working on myself, pouring into my cup, changed my lifestyle completely and my mindset is on a good level. I'm grateful every day I wake up and feel good as I know how life can tip you upside down at any time |

Hi Pickle. Firstly I hope you are ok or at coping. I've had depression all my life, but these past few years have been pretty horrendous. Getting help from CMHT and trying to find the right combination of medication for me. Some days are more of a struggle than others, but thinking of my kids keeps me going. I've come out of this dark place before and will do again. Just got to hang in there. |

For anyone who needs to hear it - spite is a valid reason to live. I've had a number of near misses over my life.
Sometimes the only thing that's kept me going is "you think I can't make it. Fuck you".
There are better ways to get through, but getting through is better than not getting through. |

I was going to DM but can't. It's a hard slog, like another member it was good to actually feel things after being on these for so long, the withdrawal can be a bit scary at times, really hope you'll feel like you don't need them. And I will harp on about this forever.... But get your bloods done and see if you have any deficiencies. Good supplements have worked really well for me x |

Thank you. I've had a long exploration of why things are the way they are. Ultimately, childhood stuff etc. (Was diagnosed with thyroid issues as a teenager - it's not that)
At the moment it's the technical challenge of coming off the meds without sending myself spinning with brain zaps 😅 |
