You're not setting them properly. I know there's a way to set age filters and it blocks people outside your age range from messaging you. |

Although if you have already messaged them and they have replied, then the filters don’t apply. That’s the reason I don’t reply to most messages as I don’t want them to have a way of getting around my filters as and when I change them.
That said, I do use my filters to suit my needs, and will send an opening message when I’m looking to meet new people. Nearly all of my meets have been through socials, clubs or someone that I have chatted with on the forums though. |

Some women erroneously think that a man taking the initiative is considered "chasing". These very women, despite giving the indication on their profiles that they are looking to engage, are often themselves reluctant and apathetic in sending the first message.
The energy that they lack when it comes to initiating contact is 'compensated' by their verve on the forums and their lack of anything positive to say about men overall. |

I'm filtered up to the eyeballs but while it has made my fab experience more peaceful, I wouldn't really call it a solution to the problems women have on the site. It just replaces one set of problems with another. The real issue is the usability of this site for finding compatible people is pretty poor. While I have managed to do so in the past, my real solution has been to go elsewhere. |

I think that filter used to automatically attach the users public pictures when sending the message to the recipient. This was done to combat the, make the picture public to sent a message and then hide it again tactic. |
