Why don’t people read profiles?

Well, I for one have read your profile in full and am very clear that I am hereby notified that I am strictly prohibited from disclosing, copying, distributing, disseminating, or taking any other action against you with regard to your profile and the contents therein, including, but not limited to your photos, and/or the comments made about your photos or any other "picture" art posted on your profile.

Because it's effort and why bother when you can & paste a message or just send out "hi" messages.

I just 'attempted' to message you (I didn't) but I could see that you haven't applied the filters that prevent anyone outside of your age range from contacting you.
Also, I suggest removing the superfluous legal disclaimer. That way your actual profile text is more legible.
To answer your question — not many people read profiles, apparently, sadly. |

2.some can read but think its worth chancing
3. some are visual and just look at the pics
4. Some fuck anything regardless
5. Some are just desperate having not had success
6. some read but don't think it relates to them
7. some think they are so beautiful you'll melt and give in

9. some don't give a shit about what you want it's all about them
10. many can read and just ignore it for the craic....
loads more but ten is enough to be going on ......

In my early days on fab it was … with haste I would go straight to the pictures and videos…
Then a v wise lady on here ( to whom I owe a lot of thanks in more ways than one )

It’s happened again tonight and all 3 were single blokes who messaged or winked asking for mmf fun when our profile clearly states we don’t see single men unless in a club setting as part of a group sex situation or mfmf, happens everyday and 9/10 it’s the blokes that don’t bother to read it not the couples! |

even those that do read will ignor large parts of it as they think it wont apply to them ie i get guys saying ive read your profile and think we match yet the first line of my profile says no beards yet most have beards..

The best one for us! We’ve had a few guys argue with us over our preferred age range with single guys when we tell them they are outside of our age range. Also called liars. It is quite clearly (or so we believe) written in our profile |

I get so many messages from guys who don't read my profile and still think they are in with a chance. The way I say it is, if they can't be bothered reading my profile then I can't be bothered reading their message. If they haven't gone to the effort of writing a decent profile for themselves, then they lack imagination and they won't put the effort in where it matters in the bedroom. It's basic common-sense |

It does our head in too, our profile is long and boring but tells you pretty much everything you need to know.
I think when people message asking for info that is clearly stated on a profile it’s just as annoying as a potential employer asking to fill out an application form when everything they are asking is on the cv ! |

I read profiles, always have done across dating sites, then apps then here.
95% of the time it doesn’t matter any way, spend 5 mins reading it, spend 5-10 mins writing a message unique to them and their interests or personality type.
Doesn’t even get read.
Then they spontaneously meet a guy the next day who’s profile consists of 1 cock pic and “I’m just here coz I’m horny yes love pussy give it you good and hard hehe mmm yeh hehe”
Bet he wrote a great first message…
I imagine there are loads of guys on here that started reading profiles, writing great opening messages, never getting a response so they started half assing it, probably copy pasting messages instead.
Unfortunately it’s just part of this site it will never be filled with out perfect matches |

I respond to the majority of messages but I get I'm in the minority. I get maybe 20 a day so it's manageable. |

We had to block messages from single guys despite wanting to meet them as the vast majority are clearly incapable of reading, so now we only look for them.
Have to say some couples have also messaged without bothering to read first, it's not overly long but have the decency to read it or we're not interested in you. |

OP exactly this, you have an age range (56-70) and yet say anyone messaging you under 58 will be deleted.
Anyway, you clearly took on board comments from others, so well done, maybe change the 58 to 56 (or vice versa).
BTW, I like Bedford, particularly the river flowing through the centre, and its good that it will get the new amusement park, but a shame that the Council is bankrupt. |
