Age gap relationships ?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Relationships require effort from both people regardless of age gap. I suggest you get a lawyer before you get married. Just in case. It's strange for a young person to propose to an older person. Seems suspicious to me. Be careful mate. |

A friend (as oppose to a lover) of yours proposed? |

I'm seriously thinking about going younger. I generate no interest on fab but in the real world most women who show any interest tend to be quite a bit younger than me. I have shied away in the past as they are often ages with my own kids or a bit older, and that feels a bit strange. Then I think, if they are up for it, why not? |

If you can pull a younger woman, go for it.
As a gay man I’m often pursued by younger guys. Love it! |

Are you absolutely sure their interest means they see you the way you think they do? |

Some are quite openly flirty so I don’t think I’m misreading the signs. I can’t think why they might otherwise be interested as I am more of an introvert? |

Would do my head in tbh.
Don’t get me wrong, I might be very attracted to a 25 year old & can see the upsides in terms of purely physical attraction in a short term sexual situation…
…but when I’m trying to explain to her who the Phantom Flan Flinger was, or anything else she won’t have a clue about because she’s way too young, I feel it could get tedious pretty quickly.

My initial thought was that she may be after your money.
However, I don't know your situation or relationship. I'm sure there will be similar relationships that have worked and others that haven't. Just be smart about it and seek legal advice as someone has mentioned above.
I wish you all the best, and congratulations 🎊 |

Do you love her with every fibre of your body and move heaven and earth for her.
If not, don't bother. |

Why would a friend ask you to marry? Are you seeing each other? |

"Lives in the same town as myself and met her on here x "
How long gave you been a couple?
If she is just some random from FAB and you've had a rush of blood from your brain to your cock, I'd be very, very wary.

A vast cosmic void |
You can never really come here and ask for the advice you can give yourself because there are so many different takes on what an age gap should or shouldn't be and whether or not you 'should' have a long-term relationship (or even marriage) with someone you've met here.
If it feels right to you both and isn't harming anyone, then go for it! |

Of course they can work like any other relationship
My partner and I have 19 years between us, the only issues I’ve encountered on occasion is his stamina isn’t as high as mine, he has knee problems, he gets tired earlier than me. Oh and because his friends and family are much older than me I have nothing to bond with them over, often left out of conversations about the past like old music or tv shows and stuff
Then the funny bits; my dentist still thinks he’s my dad so he tells him about cutting out sugary drinks rather than telling me off XD they expect him to be in the room when I’m having check ups XD my doctors were the same until recently lol
I’ve been out to restaurants and got free dessert because they thought I was his child XD I could probably got a kids bus ticket if we went on the bus together 🤣
Other than all that and the occasional “oh she’s just with him for the money” which isn’t the case because we both aren’t earning great money
We’ve always made it work happily together 7 days this year and it started as a one night stand |

Sin is a lucky guy. Interesting take on the tactical pics though… |

You'll be dead by 80 and she will inherit everything at 45. Then she can really start living, without you! |

How long does a relationship of this type last before you deem it a success, when poster said they had a great 18 months, is it 5 years, 20 years, or till death us to part, with the younger knowing that they (likely) will have time without you.
When do people considering themselves or others to be an 'age gap' couple? Is it 10years plus? |

Go for it, but be ready for the impact in later life. I know an age gap couple, she was 30 years older, and now she is in her late 80s and he is 50s. They love each other, but she is deteriorating fast.
When you are closer in age you have more time together, and one side won't experience as much loss whilst being alive |
