How much change have you seen in your petrol, diesel, etc driving costs? I filled up on Saturday and it had increased by 4p per litre (might have been 5p but unsure). I'm guessing it's gone up again potentially, due to the oil prices increase this week |

I use a fuel card that went up just over 14p litre monday morning from last weeks price making it just over £1.57 per litre. Filled up Sunday evening that would have been £12.40 more Monday morning. |

60 percent of households in Northern Ireland use home heating oil and the cost of that has rocketed in the last few weeks.
I paid £400 for 300 litres last week and could have gotten the same for less than £300 the week before. |

It's certainly made me stay home a little more
The weekend drives out, just for the sake of it, have stopped as have unnecessary diversions for bits of shopping
Alas,my commute is a 36 mile round trip and public transport to do the same commute would add about 5 hours a day to my schedule
So, that won't stop unless the threatened diesel shortages do kick in
I've been thinking about buying a second car for a few months now - looks like a small petrol car might just be needed |

My pal suggested I move to hybrid, oh how I laughed and laughed "
I may consider a self charging hybrid, never one of the plug in things. Actually now thinking about it, nah would I fuck 😂

In the Portsmouth area it does vary and of course the supermarkets tend to be pennies cheaper than The established petrol retailers
I see that this government is completely inert about doing anything
That’s interesting. Is their percentage on tax just increases as the price increases.
It’s approximately 57% of the value of a litre is paid to the government
Frankly, I don’t think they give a flying fuck
And what’s more interesting? Is that they just benefit because the demand for fuel is inelastic, which means that you need it no matter what
This government complained about a term called gouging and I can only think that they’re enjoying the extra tax revenue while we all suffer

This was my thought
The more fuel goes up, the more tax they take
Take enough to milk it for a couple of months, then suggest a reduction in fuel duty to look like heros
I don't think that this approach would be particular government though
I think any government would go down the same line |

We’re on heating oil here too. We paid 53p/litre in Jan and today it’s £1.23/litre. We’ve turned our heating off to preserve what’s left in the tank for as long as possible, we just can’t afford to fill up at that price. |

In Australia and S Ireland they are helping the common man … our government is self seeking ineffective , Luke warm and just patchy when they could have made such an impact…

Food shop rocketed up.
Weirdly, my local garage rocketed their prices up but have come down a bit since, thankfully! Though RIP if you drive a diesel, the price has stayed up for that, about £1.88 last time I looked. |

"Diesel by me is 1.64p, it was 1.49 last week.
It is one of the more expensive petrol stations and not the one i often use but it is the closest."
Same garage, £1.89.9. So £1.90 a litre, this morning. 😱
Will probably have gone up again tomorrow morning |

I went on the local price checker
It was showing Sainsbury's at 1.67 per litre and Costco which is another 5 miles or so at 1.61
Went to Sainsbury's due to it being a lot closer and they had closed to forecourt
So drove to Costco and sat in the queue for 20 mins or so to get on the pump
Tank full though so if I just do work & back that will last me about 3 weeks
It did make me wonder when we will start seeing fuel thefts from cars again |

Trump is costing us all with this bloody war, it looks like there's no end in sight and he hasn't got a friggin clue what he's doing. Completely clueless 79 year old fart.
Lucky we didn't join the war like farage and badenoch wanted us to. One of the few correct decisions starmer has made. It's a shit show 🤦🏽♂️ |

£1.79 down here and £1.83 on the A23 and A27. " £1.87 here and nearly £2.00 on motorway my fuel bill just for me has increased 40/50 a week more and we all know if the fuel goes up then everything else follows |

It's over priced, in some areas, I travel out to a rural one always a few pence below everyone else.
Don't drive as much now so not too much of a pain.
Empty the boot of all the crap, pump up tyres. A bit of redex. Light foot on gas.
Drive down hill. Stop giving people lifts. Stay out of the fast lane on the motorway, fill only half a tank not full, less weight using fuel to carry fuel, seem to help.
Also get loyalty points so you can buy a a pest or a packet of crisps, something in return.

The price situation is going to get worse the longer this goes on, local garages are charging 20p a ltr more than they were on Sunday. We are also likely to see shortages in the summer as supplies get lower.
We need to turn King Charles into a weapon and send him off to meet the shit filled pants orange nonce |

Charlie could raise a few quid by selling off those chunky fingers of his as a limited edition 10 pack of Duchy Originals. |

It's inflated unnecessarily.
They are making the most of the war, there's actually an oil glut. Reserves are the high. Will it be the same price if the war ends tomorrow?
In the uk especially we a taxed the highest, so it's a bit of a cheeky putting it up.
The only positive is it should reduce traffic, but it probably won't.

"Think I read somewhere that it’s now essentially 55% tax including VAT being added to the price of fuel just now
May be more with the recent increase "
And the 5p/liter that was taken off in 2022 is going to go back on Sep to Apr. This will be more tax. |

"That fuel was bought months ago. It's profiteering."
It's like retail gold & diamonds, sell at replacement cost or lose money.
It's hitting hard here in Vietnam , diesel is up to 95p a litre today about 25% increase |

What i cant understand is before the conflict the difference between petrol and diesel was about 5p. Now the difference is 45p. Why when its all about the price of a barrel of oil that makes both. You dont get one oil makes petrol and one oil makes diesel. They are the same, so why the big difference now |

Many factors, diesel sells alot more then petrol, plus you get a greater yield of diesel from a barrel of oil. Petrol ends up being stored at greater quantities. Because theres a store of petrol and not diesel and demand being high, the price gap becomes larger. Theres also a quality factor for oil which i dont fully understand, but from what I get, middle east oil produces better quantities of diesel then other oil, I dont fully understand that or how it works so dont quote me on that part. |

It's very worrying, things are going to get a lot worse. When the mad Orange man commits more war crimes and bombs Irans electricity and oil infrastructure. Iran will destroy the infrastructure of neighbouring countries. This is insane. This going to get very bad 🤦♂️😬 |

Just for reference there are battery health reports available from some manufacturers. VAG group dealers can give an accurate report. It gives a % health, but there is more detail like the number of hours spend at 100%, and the amount of DC fast charging which can help you decide if the battery has been looked after or abused. Also most have a long warranty like 8 years or 100,000 miles. |
