I have met several ladies, who haven't verified me. Mostly they say they don't want to draw attention to their profile, by advertising they've met a guy. Some have said they've received nasty messages afterwards, along the lines of "Why have you met him, when you wouldn't meet me?" etc etc..... 
They're rarely "lazy" I reckon, it's just how they choose to run their profile, so respect them for that  |

I am waiting on a verification from a couple, it’s cool if they don’t, they have their reasons. From people stalking verifications to whatever. I don’t know what the case is for you op, hope you get verified soon. |

I don't think it's laziness at all but their choice none the less.
You could wind yourself up wondering why.
1. Was it cos I was shit
2. Are they embarrassed they met me
3. They don't do veri's for multiple various reasons
4. They don't want to inform everyone else you're a hot catch |

It can be quite intimidating in a rural area.
If you verify one, it is like chucking a bone to a pack of dogs.
Your inbox will be overrun.
But also I don't really want people knowing my business.
I normally ask if a meet wants a verification if it is just a straight forward hello social, if things go well, I am very much less likely to verify.
I've found many men do the same.
