Has the art of winking died on fab?

Dose anyone wink anymore?

I don't think I've ever used it. Also rarely check who has winked at me.

Maybe others on here are prolific winkers though!

I think it's dead, a wink was similar to smiling over a crowded bar back in the day. Shows interest.

Now days it seems it's a wave of a cock or opening of a pussy.

Not as classy.... Lol

I'll send a wink if I think someone has a particularly nice profile. I never expect anything in retun.

If I'm interested in chatting or meeting I send a message.

If I receive a wink I always acknowledge with a thank you message.

I get winks most days, think it works better from women to men anyway.

I like a wink.

I don't use them as I assume they'll get lost on a womens account, and that she needs face pics.

For some people it works and for others not so much. I personally don't bother sending winks and I rarely look at mine.

Perhaps it's a superfluous feature?

I used to but I don’t anymore. As has been said above very few people look to see if they have had any.

If I get any 🙄, I look at the profile then decide to 😏 back or 🏃🏻‍♂️ for the hills.

Darkest South East Surrey

I love getting a wink from someone who matches my interests although they are few and far between. I use them a lot with little response but then I rarely get a response if I write a nice message so less time wasted I suppose.

Personally I think the messaging option should only be activated once both parties have winked each other to show mutual interest. That would save people having to wade through hundreds of unread messages and people like me writing messages that remain unread.

I think the wink has it's place, to be honest. As someone said above, it's like a smile or brief hello in a pub or club - a test of the waters, a low-stakes flirt to gauge if there's any interest before blundering in with ropey chat-up lines.

I don't like sending a first message, but I keep my filters up. Sending a wink means the other profile can then send a message if they want (assuming of course they see it!)

Still use the function on the rare occasion a profile catches my eye, mostly because the process of constructing a message to send at that time takes up far too much mental bandwidth… very rarely does it lead to anything though.

I receive them too but they usually result in an ignored message and/or an unsolicited friend request whenever I wink back 🤷🏾‍♂️

So few women these days bother to open their pussy at me in a crowded bar. Lazy.

And talking of lazy, surely winking is just a way of saying “I can’t be arsed to message first, you do it”? Someone has to message first, just get on with it!

If it wasn't for last Friday, would've said yes though that wink (coupled with a few messages) did lead to a meet compared to 6 others I've had in the last year so 😐 jury still out even with recent events as far as I'm concerned

Never winked, only check to clear. I don't see the point. Now liking a pic feels more effort and feels good if it happens.
