Nightingales. C4 comedy from the 1990s. Totally surreal, even bonkers, but with excellent writing and a superb cast.
UK version of Edge of Darkness. Was on BBC2 in 1985, but was that well received, was repeated on BBC1 a few months later. Regularly cited in the top 5 of dramas ever made.

"Im currently on series 10 of M*A*S*H. You may need to find it via the high seas if you get my drift."
They are played on a loop on certain channels, so just a case of keeping an eye out for when the start comes around again. |

"There are some really good Korean dramas on netflix."
Yes indeed!
I love K-drama; Hellbound, Kingdom, Bloodhounds, All Of Us Are Dead, Through The Darkness, Bulgasl: Immortal Souls - so many fantastic shows.
Even KPop Demon Hunters 😜👍🏻 |

On the BBC there's a thing called Tokyo Vice. It's one story over three series coming to a satisfying conclusion.
It's a bit of a slow burn as in it takes a while to get going because it sets things up, but it's never dull.
It's about a journalist, a police detective and the Japanese mafia, called the Yakuza. It would be worth reading up on the Yakuza a bit to get some of the context because it doesn't explain how they work.
It's one of the best series I've ever seen. I highly recommend it. |

Another great one is Masters of the Air, on Apple TV. It's about an American air base in East Anglia during the Second World War. It's the third in a trio of series made by the same team, the others being Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
The first few episodes are a bit grim but over-all it's extremely good. |
