Photo challenges

Whilst being wary of the rosy glow of nostalgia, once upon a fab forum time there were regular photo challenges which were popular - themes such as music, copycat and food spring to mind.
Over time fewer and fewer people seemed to take part, and I’m not sure why. Lack of time? Lack of interest? Dislike of participants?
This is a long winded way of asking who’d be interested in photo challenges again, and what would make it an attractive proposition, or vice versa!

I'd been thinking about this recently! There doesn't seem to be as many these days and think they were a great way of getting people involved. I think it's the time taken by the OP too. If I was running a photo challenge, I'd want to reply to everyone who made the effort to take part |

I'm not sure why they stopped either - the competitive element? People not having time? Only some being acknowledged? Challenges designed because someone liked their new photo?
Fun and accessible is good. Loved the copycat ones because they were fun and inclusive. 😊 |

Controvercial a little but I think with any of these challenges (and have done some myself before) depends who decides to join. There is a 'cliquey' element to it and depending who joins, then their entourage (clique, if you like) will do too and it kind of mushrooms from there. If those few and their followers decide not too, chances for success is slim. Please give it a go though. It will be nice to see them back. I joined the forums due to one of those a few years back.  |

I remember the ones done by three or four women on here, used to fill multiple threads.
I think the Forum is just less busy now and people use other means to share photos. |

I enjoy them and they can be fun and provide a bit of inspiration for new pics, but it's finding the time I struggle with sometimes. And depends on the theme too as some themes just aren't for me or would come at a cost to buy props or outfits. If its a theme I like and won't cost me anything, and I have the time to actually do the photos, it's something I'm usually up for. |

Thanks for all the input Personally I really enjoyed joining in with them when I was first around the forums, I liked getting creative and messing around with different ideas, it really helped me to expand my range of pics. I also found it a good way to get involved with the forums without it being about purely sexual connections. I totally get the lack of time and access to a full costume department though!

We enjoyed doing the photo challenges back in the day.
The forums are more insular now though and the same people comment and fawn over the same people, so it doesn’t help make everyone welcome, so that’s why threads and participation dies easily.

I've been involved in a few previously.
I think the copycat pic challenges are better when you are matched with someone rather than copying anybody involved. Nobody feels left out then.
The random, pic with a potato or seasonal, Haloween, Christmas ones are more personel to the photo taker.
Why have they declined 🤷♂️ who knows but i'd be up for a photo challenge TMN.

I don't get involved in them particularly, in the past it was always an excuse for the 'popular' posters and their mates to blow smoke up each other.
Don't really see that now but it is disheartening when you've made an effort and it goes unacknowledged and ignored so easier to not participate |

But the threads referred to involve open voting so people can't be ignored, unless it's suggested the people collecting votes are not honest, which would obviously be unacceptable. From my experience those votes are 'won' by a wide group of people and most people don't take them too seriously. |

The forums are very cliquey, I don't care what anyone says,but this isn't the thread to discuss it. If you don't want to take part in the challenge, don't say anything. 😁. |
